was backing up some of my j-dramas on dvd, figured how to use Nero a little, but still fine tuning it.
i still think the "click and drag" method is easier when burning cd's, wouldn't let me do that with a blank dvd. So i had to resort to NERO, any other prg's and suggestions.

d/l'ing "Slow Dance" drama on BT.... Bonk

that's not true dood....i use nero to back up dramas on dvd and it drag and drop all the time?!? strange you probably need to change the settings or something.

How long did it take to back up avi files to a dvd-video? It usually took me 4 hours to back up 2 avi in a dvd-video Sweat . If only my dvd player can read avi files then I can just make a data disk and put 11 episodes on a single dvd.

i didn't back up the avi files to dvd video.
I am not sure what format they are in, but i just burn the j-drama files directly onto a blank dvd using Nero. They aren't converted as i can only watch them on my computer dvd player, since i have not yet learned how to convert to VCD/DVD yet. Bonk

otherwise it didn't take long at all to burn a drama series onto a blank dvd, it was a regular backup, no conversions.

if you're downloading the files from d-addicts.com and then burning them straight to video then you ARE backing up videos as avi files and creating a data disc that is not playable on a standard dvd player but on your computer, of course Smile

Backing up is definitely a wise thing to do Thumbsup . In my opinion, Nero is a "little" overdone with functions, but when you get used to it, you'll find it fairly easily to use.

it's not difficult...it's just that unless you have a really really powerful computer it takes a while to convert the video from one format to another.

i used to do to it now and then but i hated waiting so long so i just bought some monster cables and hook my computer up straight to my tv now if i want to watch something on my television instead of my computer monitor.
