i agree with you mixxdreamer-chan.. it's not an easy job to sub. going to meteor garden, it was subbed excellently. unforgettable line talaga yung "kung nakukuha sa sorry ang lahat, aanhin pa ang parak?" it totally nailed ah si's sentiment.. compared to the lamely soft subbed in english as "if everything can be settled with a "sorry" we don't need the police anymore" i swear i was laughing when i read that one.

there's a richness to every language which cannot be translated into our preferred language literally. the best that the subbers/studios can do is capture it's very essence and not botch the scene or spoil the series in it's entriety..

its in tagalog..but when they did the "friends' series...won bin spoke in tagalog and kyoko in english...it was really annoying...parang pinapakita pa nila na filipinos really dont understand english lang...

golden bowl will be shown also..but not in gma stations..another station that powered by gma..the QTV channel 11. its on Nov.11 at 6:30 pm...

heaven's coin also was also on their list...

Just saw the first episode of Heaven's Coin. The dubbing is ok (maybe it's because most of the scenes with Noriko Sakai and Takao Osawa is done in sign language ). They also used the original names of the characters and the original soundtrack too . Gonna check Golden Bowl later.
