I agree when first Matrix came out it was fresh and original. It was nothing like we ever seen before. The second have more actions though with the highway chase and the fighting with hundreds of Mr. Smith.
So BMW, does that means you'll spring for all of us who shows up at that mall too?
Sure, but each person will have to bring a Yonekura Ryoko-related piece of memorabilia (posters, books, magazines, panties, etc.) to cash in on my offer...

I thought the conclusion was appropriate and I was expecting it.
There were really only two ways to end the war, one is to eliminate ALL your enemies which is not possible as both sides need each other as preached in Reloaded. The other way is to try and co-exist with each other. In light of that the ending is just right, there is peace for now and both side must learn to accept the other's existance.
