You know what, I dont know what to feel about J-doramas in Philippine TV. I know the dubbing's gonna suck. All dubbed stuff suck for me. Im a subtitle gurl~
And about the entire Filipino community seeing what an AMAZING CREATURE Hideaki Takizawa is, Im betting even children's 1-peso cheese curls would have his face in orange color and hair in dark green plastered all over its packaging.
Ok, it's fine to share Takki's amazingly handsome face to the rest of the Philippine community~ But you know naman how Philippine TV make OVERLY GASGAS things.
But you know what, I've always thought that a lot of Japanese pretty boys dont appeal to Filipino taste. My friends always, always wonder why I like thin, girly boys with overly done hair. So I wouldn't really worry about P or Jin or Kame. Maybe a little about P cos the boy is soooo darn pretty! I wonder iftehy'd ever show Stand Up!
And errr~ also Takki. Takki is a GOD. *TAKKI* And who could resist that boy????
And errr~ what if they show Gokusen 2?????? *dies just thinking of Akame on Philippine TV*
One thing Im sure of~ Philippines can't afford Johnny's Boys. Maybe a group or a duo at a time but not like all of them~
Imagine Tackey & Tsubasa here in the Philippines~ Boy, i'd STALK Takki to death!
And imagine Nino here~ I'd STALK him, tooo~~!!!!
And KATTUN????? Man, AKAME deserves a stalking-to-death treatment~!

can you tell me kung pano rin ako makapag download. di ko pa kasi alam yun. anu-ano ba nag kailangan?
gomen...dami kong tanong.
omg.. ang saya sa d-addicts.. as in archive.. since last october.. i already have more than 10 dramas..
number 1 need.. kelangan mo ng high-speed/broadband internet.
2. kailangan mo ng BT client.. there's a lot out there like BitLord BitComet pero ang nagamit ko ay Azureus.. di ko alam pinagkaiba nla pero yun..
3. punta ka sa site ng d-addicts.com tas go to the left side.. scroll down and find "torrent search" tas type mo Nobuta Wo Produce
4. the results will give you from episodes 1-6 tas click on episode 1, pag tinanong "open with" click mo yung "Azureus" tas bubukas ang azureus and ipapasave sa gusto mong location..
5. tas antay ka na.. :-) one episode can go as fast as 1 hour.. depending sa seeders..
kung wala kang highspeed internet..
maraming nag uupload ng file dito sa jdorama.. they upload it in mga 5 files then you have to download yung 5 files then connect them with a process im not familiar with. punta ka sa thread ng Nobuta started by kkl.. tas travel the pages.. mga makikita mo jan parang sa 1 episode 5 files (kasi yun lang kaya ng site na pinaglalagyan nila) so kailangan mo dl isa isa.. tas icoconnect mo na lang siya..

Oh wow, this is really taking me back a ways... I remember watching reruns of old, really old Japanese animes when I was there in the PI. Anyone here remember Voltes V? Anyway, glad to see na ipapalabas na rin ang Japanese doramas sa atin. One thing though, I really hate tagalog subbed foreign projects! Regardless on who or what, they will suck, since ultimately the context and essence of the script is sacrificed for timing and dubbing issues. I guess I'm what you call a purist... I'm also half Chinese, so I feel the exact same way when it comes to things airing there as well. And yes, I know most things back home are para sa 'masa'. So I guess they can't really alienate their core audience, but still...! hehe, just my two cents...

Wow, I'm glad this thread has become very active. I'm also a purist as BALLISTIC88 describe himself/herself.
However, things happened differently with me when the doramas started airing on QTV. Friends now send me sms asking me about the dramas and if they can borrow my copies since they want it pure too. I sort of became their dictionary for japanese entertainment. Quite tedious I must say but I'm also happy that they appreciate what has kept me occupied and happy the past year. _________________

Hehe, glad to see I'm not the only one. And just for clarification, me is boy, 'himself', ey...

What doramas are airing on QTV?
I'm a purist too.. I'd rather read subtitles than listen to crappy dubbing. Besides.. dubbing kinda steals the essence of the actors.. I can't imagine Matsujun or Kimutaku being dubbed by our actors..
Hoshi no Kinka (Heaven's Coins) and Golden Bowl are currently airing on QTV-11.

that would be so sad..
Yeah, I feel the same way too. I like watching foreign films and dramas with subtitles. But like I have said before, networks here feel that it's too late to change the format because people here are already used on watching dubbed foreign dramas. Filipinos don't adapt, or should i say accept, to changes that easily you know (take a look at the government ). _________________

DO NOT get me started with that assembly of elected individuals known as our GOVERNMENT.. mga bwisit.. never did anything for their fellowmen but rob them of their tax money.. tutulong nga.. it's only for the meantime remedies and nothing really serious.. mga bwisit.

Agreed . What I'm just trying to say is that if people here don't want those big time changes (like the supposed charter change in the government ) then what more do you expect on those little changes like showing foreign dramas with subtitles rather than dubbing it in Tagalog .
Anyway, Heaven's Coins just ended in QTV-11. Anyone know what they will show after this dorama? Will they continue with the season 2 of this dorama? _________________

Tapos na agad heaven's coins? wth? do they show it on a daily basis?? ano ba.. pang-asar...
Anyway.. I'm for Charter Change.. seriously.. except for the clause where they want to turn the government system from democratic to parliamentary.. that's BS. Mga government officials natin, may God Complex.. mga feeling omnipresent, omniscient at omnipotent.. I'd agree to Charter change to update laws that were never changed since God knows when..
anyway.. lapit na weekend.. yey! HYD, Nobuta, Brother Beat.. and I just downloaded the whole season of Engine with Kimutaku.. ayiiii.. my first Kimutaku drama (I have A Beautiful LIfe pero di ko pa pinapanood.. hahahaha) To sustain my jdorama addiction, i bought a 200gb harddrive.. hehehehehe.. i'm going to give away my doramas saved in dvds sometime..

Punyemas.
anyway, I watched Kimutaku last week in Engine. Grabehan. Timeless siya. Kimutaku's one of them Jpop stars na walang pangit na anggulo. Not like Matsujun, Kame or Jin.. I watched and rewatched and he doesn't have a bad angle at all!! And the body.. man, the body.. how old is he again?? He's so cuuuuute!!
I'm currently watching Mukodono.. Ang funny! OA umarte si Tomoya Nagase.. It's like watching a better looking version of Vhong Navarro.. hehehe..
Also, I'm catching up with my Ichi Litorru, HYD and Nobuta.. Kainis. HYD has 2 episodes left, then 3 a piece for Ichi and Nobuta.. oh yeah, Brother Beat din pala..
I went into a Kimutaku downloading frenzy. I now have Pride, Good Luck and Hero.. Yes, I have Beautiful Life.. but I have yet to watch it..
