Man, you guys are really negative on this drama. To tell the truth, the only reason why I watched Moto Kare is because of Ryoko Hirosue _________________

well i didn't particularly like it..when i first heard of it i was like way 4 major stars...dohmoto, hirosue, uchiyama, and sonim....but after watching it i was a bit disappointed...the writing was blah...man. i, too, watched it in part because of hirosue but it didn't come close to ryoko's performance in summer snow.
i thought rina's performance was the best....sonim did well too.

Yeah, Ryoko's performance in Summer Snow is the best . Rina really did a good job in Moto Kare. I even fell in love with her character _________________

Currently watching Manatsu no Merry Christmas Link.
I have that thing since almost forever, but someone mentioned he/she was living in NZ in another thread and it was summer for christmas there.
It, somehow, gave me the little push to make me watch it.
Kind of weird to see Kato Ai again. I haven't seen her in a drama for some time. Unless you consider Docomo CMs dramas.

Hahaha I didn't know about this spoiler tag and yep, I agree with opinions in preceding "darkened" conversation I find Ryoko's character to be a little annoying, but still my primary choice, when it comes to question which face do I want to "integrate" in some reinforced concrete wall, will be Toji...
Anyway finished Orange Days, next Gokusen. _________________

Trick is one of my favorite drama. A must watch. A little bit scary and very funny at the same time.
I suggest watching the 1st one first, since there are "running gags" throughout the series. If you didn't watch the first one, you may not understand all the jokes. They also makes references to previous episodes sometimes.
I think my favorite one is Trick 2, as far as I can remember. I prefered Trick 1 and 2 to the 3rd one.

ah sou? (then maybe i'll watch dragonzakura as well..i have them d/led)
as for standup...the first few (about 6 episodes) are really boring and pointless...basically i watched it for YamaP and (Akira's reallie cute small guy..dunno his name gomen! )
people say that they got hooked to yamap because of this drama....and i guess from the 7th episode i know why...
so~ if you want to drag yourself thru the first few episodes to get to the "OK" parts then go ahead ^-^
i give it a 7/10 or maybe less...dunno (yamapi looks good in it tho!!!! esp when he takes his shirt off....he's a skinny CUT/BUFF PERSON HOTT!!!)

Stand Up is so so funny. I only watched the first episode so far, but it is funny. haven't seen gokusen 2, only watched the 1st one, it was good. Yukie Namaka did a good job. GTO, now that one is the best, and classic.

"Moto Kare" bored the bejeezus out of me. So with the help of a trade with Eve, I've turned to a comfort food sort of series.
"Kamisan nanka kowakunai" aka "Midlife Crisis" aka "We're not scared of our Wives."
It's a sit com. It's a formula. It's fun.
The main character Tamura and his buddies, Hashizume and Kadono are three guys in late middle age who spend most of their time trying to convince themselves that having affairs at this time in their lives is expected. And that if push came to shove, they all still have a little Don Juan left in them.
These guys are great together. They are playing men who have been best friends since junior high school, so when the three of them are together they revert to being those 14 year old kids.
Tamura's wife is out of the country for the duration of the series, so week after week the guys, Tamura especially, are tempted by some of the prettiest guest stars ever to drop in on a sitcom. Kyoko Koizumi, Atsuko Asano, Asaka Seto, Yuriko Ishida, Emi Wakui, Hitomo Kuroko all drop by one after the other. And week after week Tamura and his boys find a way to screw up their chance to have an affair.
Side note: Another thing that makes me like this show so much is the quality of the video I'm straining to see. It's fuzzy, it bounces, it cuts out every now and then... it's a show that someone taped back in 1998 at mediocre speed... and enjoyed enough to keep.
I know. Sounds ridiculous, what with all these DVD quality copies of the new shows floating around. But I guess that's part of what makes this one comfort food for me.
