pretty girls was a black hole in my string of dramas....it absorbed all light. yeah inamori izumi isn't super bijin or anything but she knows how to act in a comic role.
pretty girls had some serious eye candy..but DAT 'BOUT IT.

i've just been starting on them last year..
well you obviously have a lot of great ones to choose from, both new and old...you seem to have a handle on the most poplular ones....i actually stopped watching dramas for several years because i got too busy with life for a while.

more freedom eh?
the actors is what makes the drama more interesting and creates the quality...
i mean look at the T. Kimura dude, the ultimate ladies man, and bachelor, the kick-arse dude, and he is such a good actor, throw in some other all-stars and you got a hit, yo....almost.
Love Generation, that one was right on!, and Pride..seems good.

yeah you know all the great actors/actresses already....
yeah kimura takuya and his incredibly LONG running streak of popular dramas is freaky...it's fuggin' supernatural...it's like if anybody co-stars with kimura takuya that almost automatically raises you up to another level..especially for female co-stars...if you work alongside kimura takuya you've scored a big time career booster.
the guy has got to be the most popular japanese male actor in all japan...for YEARS now.

Wow. You are a dorama jedi. How did you watch it during those days? Cable television?
i was fortunate in that i lived in Los Angeles, which has int'l programming on the weekends on local television channels...they always had and still HAVE a japanese programming bloc on the weekend with some shows subtitled in English...
honestly when i look back at that distant past i remember how thrilling it was to watch Long Vacation....i absolutely LOVED it!!!! and still do...it holds a very dear and nostalgic place in my memory, especially given that i actually saw it the year it came out....
Long Vacation is still in my ALL TIME TOP 3 dramas after all these years.

She was freakin hot when she was younger. Now she's just plain old hot.
i never thought of her as that hot......i think the pharm grade yay is affecting your brain cells... back in the those long vacation days in the 90s...i thought females like rie miyazawa were hot not momoko from LV.

Rie Miyazawa is beautiful, but Inamori Izumi is HOT! That's what my pickled brains cells are saying. Yup!
I'm not so lucky.. doramas screened in my country are either dubbed in Mandrain or Cantonese because they think the public loves it.
I love fansubs because they stay true to the original language audio. Besides the few popular sites like jem, d-addicts and j-tv, are there other sources to download doramas?
My #1 dorama is still GTO. Long Vacation maybe #2 or #3. I have yet watch Hero, maybe my opinion will change since my friends encourage me its a great show.

Same here. Almost everything is subbed.
The most spoken languages are English, French and Chinese. There are very few native Japanese people, so it is almost non-existant on TV, except for half an hour now and then. _________________
