OMG Ichi Ritoru no Namida is the saddest drama I've ever seen. I just finished watching ep 9 and I'm scared to see the other two ones. As one of you said - It's the first dorama I didn't want to see till the end, but I feel that I have to be with Aya side by side just like Asou-Kun. Great story, great acting, and wonderful songs (Only Human and Konayuki are wonderful, I can't stop listening to them over and over). I just saw the preview of ep 10 and I know that it's going to be much harder than I expected....
BTW: Hi, minna! That's my first post here ^^ Yoroshiku onegai shimasu!
Welcome Glad so many people like this series...It's become on of my favs _________________

Aya gave up at last. I knew this was gonna happen, but seeing somebody so positive like Aya give up hope is so heartbreaking.
Preview for the series finale seems to be less depressing. Although I think Aya will die in this episode (her dad was screaming her name). I can't wait!!! I'm going to rewatch these 10 episodes now
Reading dialogues at the end "From 1 Littoru no Namida", and photos of her diary is the saddest part for me. I burst into tears more often at the end, when K's song starts. The things she writes down are incredible.
Did anyone read the book? Is it typed, or is it scans of the diary? I wanna get it~
There are 3 books
-One is the diary that is by Aya
-One is the diary that is by Aya's mother
-One is 58 pages that is written by Aya

I had some time today, so I watched some older episodes one more time. I have to say that Ichi Rittoro no Namida has become one of my favourite japanese dorama ever made. When I'll see the last episode, I'll look for something less dramatic. I don't know if it's the matter of the european-japanese culture differences, but I just can't give an example of the movie or tv series, which could be compared to Namida. Japanese directors didn't take the easy path - they show everything really accurate, and It can be really shocking for a person, who is not prepared to see something like that. I didn't see anything comparable in Poland, where I come from. Namida is allso really different from american drama movies, because it's extremely real. Real as hell. If someone isn't used to see things like that, seeing it is like boxing. You are completely smashed by the story, and every dramatic moment is like being punched down...
I was shocked when I saw ...

Aya urinating on the floor. It was really painful because now I know that nothing can save her. I knew from the beggining that nothing can stop the illness, but I still hoped for some miracle. It's the TV for god sake, everything can happen on the TV screen... Now I'm preparing for episode 11 ... I just hope that Asou Kun will be with her till her last moments. She can't stop the inevitable end, but I hope that she'll feel the true love and it will give her the strength to pass away peacefully...
Real and painful. After seeing 9 episodes I really started to treasure my own life, my friends, my parents, and my girlfriend - because I know that it's really easy to lost everything. I know that Namida is only a TV Dorama, but the real advantage of this production is the fact, that It really falls deep into your heart. Makes you a better person. It made me cry. For the first time in 2-3 years, because I'm the tough guy. I'm not used to it. I didn't shed a tear when Jack froze and drown in Titanic - I didn't cry when Mustafa got killed in The Lion King:) Namida is different - I just love Aya, her smile, her warm heart full of love to her family and friends. I understand her tragedy - she's only fifteen years old. The whole life was before her, she just made her dream come true and start attending the High School. Suddently she had to give everything up ... one thing after another ... Of course the story isn't a fiction - It really happended, what makes everything much more difficult.
I just watched the ending of ep 10 and I must say that it was sooo sad. Every episode I find my self crying and I just know the last episode will be even sadder

these are my 'crying' moments.....
Click on button to reveal/hide spoiler:
1. aya tried to call back home but she cant, and her mom somehow 'sensed' it and went to the hospital........
2. when she shoke her teacher's hand in her wedding, i tot it was quite heart warming.......
3. of course, during the part when asou kun reading the love letter and aya told her family that she had given up on asou
oh and btw, i just realised that aya has changed from using ball pen to marker pen.........these details really showed us how many efforts the japanese put in this drama.
i hope we will have a great episode 11........i think we will...... _________________

i just finished watching episode 9, and felt that feeling when you are about to feel the tears, but not quite. A very touching episode of the aya and what she is starting to go through. I am not sure if i can wait for the sub'd version of ep10, i might just have to watch it without subs for now. I cannot wait for 11, even though i know i will .

The whole episode of aya's and ryo's blossoming romance, it very simple but very touching. The dolphin scene at the aquarium where he buys her that trinket, and when he calls her, and visits her when she is watering the garden. It sounds like something i would do for a girl that i really liked. I also think it is awesome to know what her sister did in getting in that highschool in honor of her older sister. I felt sad when i heard that other girl (aya's roommate) talk and move, knowiningly that aya is going to be like that and pass away. too sad...
