Guh, what a rip.
I'm guessing that'll happen down here in SoCal as well.

Re: Haru to Natsu... don't underestimate KTSF's abaility to be annoying.
They'll probably show the whole thing. We'll just have to work to find the last two episodes.
They did the same thing with Matsu Takako's "Kai" ("The Oar")
The first 4 episodes were on all at once.
Two weeks later they showed ep 5 at midnight. And a week or so later they found on odd time slot to show the final episode.
Then they repeated the whole thing 3 months later because they got so much mail about it.
IF the story doesn't end with that first block showing, check the schedules carefully, because they'll get around to showing the rest whenever it suits them. _________________ Manga is to Literature

The real problem with KTSF is that it's a Chinese station. Monday through Friday they show Chinese TV with a few Korean shows mixed in just to keep everyone guessing.
They then sell their weekend time to whoever wants to buy it.
Fuji TV takes Saturday nights and TTV takes Sunday nights.
During the daylight hours on the weekends, it's everything from Korean, to Iranian.
That's why it's rough to talk to KTSF about what they're showing because the folks at KTSF in San Francisco simply say, That ain't us, and we have nothing to do with it... whenever they're asked about the Japanese shows.
Fuji-TV is rough to deal with because they're really just an ad agency who pays Japanese TV companies for their programming. Their real business is making TV ads for Japanese run local businesses, so they rarely know what's going on. (I've talked to their programmer and he goes nuts because programming really isn't his job, and the guys in Japan never talk to him, so he never knows what's coming next.)
And I believe TTV is located in New York, and they provide content for dozens of stations across the country. So they tend to be a bit snooty. They'll put up schedules for future showings... but never in English.
Disorganized? That ain't the half of it. _________________ Manga is to Literature

I think this station was discussed a while back and no one has surfaced with an English-subbed BT yet.... I think most of us gave up hope on that source for Okusama...

I think you're thinking of Fuji Sankei, which is the New York company that runs programming for a varety of stations. TTV only runs programming in the San Francisco Bay Area and Seattle. But it's likely that most of TTV's programming comes either from Fuji Sankei or from the same source that Fuji Sankei licenses their programming. (News Express FCI is definitely Fuji Sankei. And Fuji Sankei also licenses recent, untranslated Fuji TV doramas.) On the other hand, Hello Restaurant is certainly a Bay Area origninal program.
But you're right about TTV's English support being nil. The English web site has been "coming soon" for probably a year now if not more.

I saw some blurb about Egao no Hosoku...I couldn't tell at the time if they are preempting Egao for more New Year's Specials (like the music one to air on 1/14) or if they will continue with Haru to Natsu after Egao finishes...
I'll take a closer look at the kanji later.

Oh boy, I hope one of you guys was able to record Haru to Natsu and are planning to put it up for download.
Between the storm, the 24 hour power out, the loss of comcast for almost two days, and the hill behind my house doing a bit of wandering... I missed the whole thing.
And so far, no particular word on when the rest will be shown?
This year is not getting off on the right foot. _________________ Manga is to Literature
