it's a fighting/fantasy genre.i just watched the first episode..the animation and artwork looks top notched.i must say,it's really good!
the funny thing about how i realised this anime was that i played the game first... =D
it's called melty blood.my friend got it from IRC.it's freakin' cool!reminds me of guilty gear minus the 'fancy-messy' graphics.but even though it's messy,it looked great.
Motoko from Ghost in the shell? j/k
Motoko is lovely, a very traditional Japanese girl Wish there were more of them in the Japanese society, I don't refer to the geishas.

Getting some "old school" Ghibli movies I see...
I love Ghibli movies! Especially Miyazaki's works who knows how to make movies filled with the heartwarming and adventurous themes

Same here. I think his movies are better than anything that Disney has released in a long, long time... Princess Mononoke (Mononoke Hime) and Kiki's Delivery Service (Majo No Takkyubin) are two of my favorites...
Gotta see Grave of the fireflies someday. Kiki's theme songs are lovely
Actually, the whole soundtrack is great... The two English songs on the U.S. DVD release/dub are a joke... Fortunately, the Japanese track was included...

i'm a sucker for 2 things.
1. a girl who has 'intellectual' looks.you know, those with their hair tied up,wearing those small spectacles with that standard office outfit.
2. and recently girls in those 'shrine'ly outfit.motoko wears them too sometimes!
heehee

LOVE HINA ANY1? am i right? yes J!-ENT rocks..i love POPJAM
romance eh.definitely love hina.but there's one more!
it's tied on no.1 on my fav manga list[tied with love hina].
it's Maison Ikkoku!
i'm not sure how's the anime like, but i've read the manga and the romance is AWESOME.
if u dig romance, this is something i STRONGLY recommend.
the artwork is those early '90s artwork though.so one might no be interested in it.but trust me,the story is superb.
and it's different from love hina in a sense that this is targeted for more mature audiences[say >19 years old?].so it's really good!
imagine.almost every chapter there's a twist at the end that either makes u smile or has a connection when you read the chapter's title.
get it man. Maison Ikkoku from Takahasi Rumiko, creator of Ranma½,Inu-yasha and urusei yatsura.if u dig romance,it's worth every single bit.

mao-chan is only a must-see if u r a sucker for cute things.i for one am not so and i find it downright crap!
but the artwork's cute though....
