She doesn't need the coins, I'll pay for dinner.

And lunch.

And breakfast.

Just a random question to throw out about Ryoko...

Has anyone else thought that she's being typecasted for her recent roles? It seems like she's always a conniving and money-hungry businesswoman lurking in Kyoto's alleyways with a FIERCE outfit (usually kimono) or those 1950s-esque hats on...or is it just me? Crazy

Her new role in "Kemonomichi" has her burning her sick husband alive in his house, apparently. Remember all the goofy and sweet roles she had before? Applaud I wonder what she has in store for the future at this rate, haha....

I think those roles are by choice: Up until the success (a best actress award) of Kurokawa No Techo, I think the Japanese public viewed her as just a pretty face with no acting chops...

So now with these serious dramas like Haru to Natsu and Nyokei Kazoku, she working on changing that image and gain wider acceptance as a serious actress... Thumbsup

I wouldn't be surprised... Though, having the green to experience that would be a nice feeling unto itself... Wink
