if I am not mistaken, my first dorama was tokyo rabu sutori...a.k.a tokyo love story...

but to be honest, I dont really remember what was the story about Crazy Bonk

and after that i watched anchor woman or news no onna.. (Takizawa Hideaki was sooooo cooollllll in there!! Victory! Peace! )

and after that I watched love generation, long vacation, beach boys, GTO, itazura na kiss, and so on...and so on...

Victory! Peace!

I missed this equation.

Does this mean-

Jessica Simpson=aspiring Barbie?

Now on topic: Wink

I think the series that hooked me for a long series is Toshiie To Matsu.
Im about ready to watch it again.

Hmm. It was a month or two ago. I read something about jdrama and was interested in it. I didn't know where to start so I checked some threads at d-addicts for recs, than I was directed here and found Gokusen and Beach Boys a good place to start. Now I can swear that Gokusen was the first one I saw but I do have my doubts. Didn't I finished downloading Beach Boys first? Head Scratch

First japanese drama that got me hooked...

It was wayyyyyy back when I was 8 yrs old. I don't if anyone remembers a drama called - Moero Attack! (I don't know if I spelled it correctly Sweat )
I don't know who was starring but I'm very sure for the actors/actresses in the drama, their time would be up already. The main character was Chun.

That was in late 80s. About a volleyball team with too many fancy tactics (imagine doing a somersault before doing a smash) though I love it anyway. It got me hooked on volleyball, and it got me hooked on J-drama. I even skipped extra classes for that drama hehe

My first drama was Densha Otoko, a good sentimental comedy even if the love story is completely caricatural. Actors are perfect in their roles and made me laugh a lot. An hilarious drama which convinced me to watch another ones.

sutaa no koi around 3 years ago, and never stopped watching dorama until now. The only constraint in Indonesia is very difficult to have dorama, most of the dramas are Korean / Taiwan. Shameful Cry

I don't remember the name, but the first dorama I saw was this Hiru-dora or maybe a rerun that I saw during '93 or '94 summer break. It was about some guy in university falling in love with some girl, but he already has a GF.

First one that I remember and love is Coach in '96. I used to play baseball a lot, and this dorama really got me into it. I left Japan soon after that, and if it wasn't for this series, I probably won't be still watching dorama now.

The first drama that got me hooked was Hana Yori Dango with MatsuJun. Nowadays I'm totally addicted to Sorimachi & Kimura dramas, though Yeah

Hana Yori Dango... this past summer/fall. I've been a huge fan of the anime and manga. Then I kinda stopped watching foriegn stuff for a while... When my friend told me about HYD... I freaked out and had to see it IMMEDIATELY...

It was so good too! but short. Luckily I hear a sequel is in the making! YES! But since then I've been hooked on JDramas... I'm actually watching Shinsengumi! right now. I love the Shinsengumi and was really excited to hear they made a taiga drama about them. It's really good too... maybe not for everyone though. You probably have to like taiga's... Smile

My first Japanese drama would be Power Offices Girls...very funny....really liked it. However, I didn't have enough money then to buy more titles..so I stopped watching for quite some time. Then a local tv station aired some good ones like Pride and Waterboys. Ever since then, I got hooked to J-dramas!
