Ah, Otogi isn't that bad, but seeing how it started off in the Heian period - with really stylish artwork n such, the second arc is taking place in modern Tokyo with the same set of characters. The idea is great but somehow it doesn't feel right to me. Still it made me watch ep10 to end in a few days. So it's not all that bad.
Oh, thanks for the further update. _________________

One Piece 170 and Bleach 64 were just released =D
Watched Bleach 64 last night.... I dont think i'll be continuing this arc until i've finished some other series.
I get seriously annoyed when.. (DO NOT read this if you haven't seen ep 64)
Click on button to reveal/hide spoiler:
a female character is SOOOOOO stupid (or enamored) that they always seem to get themselves caught by the bad guys.
"OHHHH.. onii chan! you're back, even though I saw that you were sent to soul society."
She doesn't ask HOW he got back, or how he knew about her dream... but when a scary, mysterious and creepy door pops out and onii-chan says to come with, she does it.

Yeah I agree, it's pretty common in anime to portray women/girls as weak and depending - I hate those incest like inseperable brother-sisters shows. Where they go: onii chan! all the time Not too sure how it is in Japan, but over here they'd probably get sued by feminists
I don't see what Orihime's role is in Bleach, other than having HUGE boobs, LMAO. but yeah, after going back to "school", I seriously don't hope they go back to the random sillyness the show was during episode 1-30

her role is to do the stupid things like what i posted above in the spoiler box, so that they can start infinite new arcs.. everytime they run out of things to publish, they'll do that again.
the guys, being the knights in black cloth armor, will obviously respond.

Hmm I forgot her name, the girl with short black hair?, since she wasn't in the soulsociety arc, orihime's friend and Ichigo's best buddy? I liker her at least she can fight

rukia's role = to be weak too she can't do shit without her powers, so you could say she's like orihime too, needing everyone to save her..you think she will get her powers back? I doubt it.

Ive been watching Fruits Basket in English for the first time.
Its wonderful to be able to concentrate on the animation without the subs marring the screen.
Funimation did a decent job with the voices.
Tohru is survivable, Kyo suitable and Yuki just right. Shigure is quite good too. Its not the Japanese version but still very good....... _________________

YAKITATE JAPAN 52 is finally out!
i noticed it WAY to late to watch it, it's done downloading but ill have to wait til i get home...

on a side note... in my desire to be hated by a large portion of the anime watching public, i watched the first few episodes of Naruto last night (while yakitate was downloading), and i found it to be another formula (plot) martial arts anime.

Im starting to get sick of the, annoying brat wants to be the "BEST-IN-THE-WORLD-has-mysterious-past-meets-friends(male)-along-the-way-who-were-once-rivals-now-good-buddies-w/weak-overly-emotional-female(again)-travelling-around-gaining-experience."

So you didnt like Kakashi-sensei, I take it?
I adore him. Have the action figure too. It is not the most original of anime. I rarely have found the ninja fighting series to be much more than entertainment although I really enjoy them. I cant really think of one that isnt formulaic? _________________
