A live-action film based on Osamu Tezuka's classic "Dororo" is in the works. The manga series was published in Weekly Shonen Sunday (Shogakukan) from 1967-1968. The movie adaptation is set to star Kou Shibasaki (age 24) and Satoshi Tsumabuki (24). The story focuses on Hyakkimaru, who was born with 48 parts of his body (including his eyes, ears, mouth, hands, legs, etc.) stolen by monsters. He teams up with a cross-dressing thief, and the pair go on to battle supernatural enemies. A TV anime adaptation was broadcast in 1969, and the series still enjoys a considerable amount of popularity among dedicated Osamu Tezuka fans. While in the original manga the title character Dororo (portrayed by Kou Shibasaki) was much younger, the film will add a romantic element by having the two main characters be roughly the same age. Filming begins in January in New Zealand, with the production budget at two billion yen. The movie will be directed by Akihiko Shiota of "Yomigaeri" fame, with spectacular battle scenes handled by China's Ching Siu Tung ("HERO", "House of Flying Daggers"). With an uncommonly large budget for a Japanese film, popular source material, all-star cast, and a beautiful shooting location, hopes for "Dororo" are high. While there do not seem to be any new developments regarding the Hollywood film version of Tezuka's "Astro Boy", work on "Dororo" appears to be progressing smoothly. The film is scheduled for a 2007 release at Toei theaters. never seen @read@heard of the manga/anime but definetly cant wait 4 it...

i just started watching lunch queen tonight... for satoshi and yamapi and yamada ... so excited that they're alll in this drama... and itoh masaki too! hahahaha crazy stuff yo.... but satoshi is soo beyond cute... wahh... and the food looks so incredibly good... hahahaha... def cant have an appetite when im watching this or ill go crazy...

Owh..queen of lunch time..thanks to tat dorama, I discovered my future husband�although there�s yamapi n yamada in it..my eyes were rite on satoshi ..n from tat moment on,I knew hes the one for me�hehhe(I kinda of felt tat way too when I first saw takuyakimura)..

i started watching lunch queen and i LOVE IT... i watched for yamapi and satoshi and yamada... but omg satoshi... sooo freaking cute... i'd go to that restaurant for him, yes i would! imagine having him serve u food and smile at you... ahh!!!!! better than the food itself!! hahahaha... but i loooove this drama, oh yes i doooo... ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh... wanna watch moreeeeeeeeeeeee...
