I have both VCD sets. I liked both series, but ICE WORLD more. It has more of a tight mystery edge to it than SLEEPING FOREST

Did the writer of the both dramas write any other dramas? Sleeping forest was really great.

Nozawa Hisashi,he also wrote Koibito yo,Aoi tori,a wednesday love affair plus one or two episodes of Oishi kankei(spelling?) and one conan the detective movie. There's more but I don't think they are available,do check out koibito yo if you can,it is not a mystery drama like sleeping forest but
it still one of my most beloved drama.

hello!

well,it goes like this.
since the hols are coming,i'm going back to malaysia[finally!].and since i've been sooo deprived from j-drama,i'm planning to buy tonnes of them and bring them to melbourne to watch during my studying-term.

so i need some suggestions on what good j-dramas to get out there!
and i need tonnes of them!

my taste is more for a romantic-comedy drama.but others will do fine as long as they are good.....!

thanx in advance to all those who suggested something!

Hi Tekanan

1. Summer snow Rolling eyes
2. Love story Nut
3. Basically nice - shingo's (SMAP)
4. Hero, Good Luck & Love Generation (not so recent drama)- kimurasan's dramas Chatter
5. Hotman, double score, Virgin road (old drama but nice one) - sorimachi's Sad Lovey Eyes
6. Gakkou no Sensei, yume california, Diary of a dog - tsuyoshi's Lovey Eyes
7. Beauty & the beast, Yamato Nadeshiko - nanako's Lovey Eyes
8. Home & Away - Miho Nakayama's Lovey Eyes
9. Just the two of us (although a bit dissapointed b'coz kassy suddengly dissapear from the scene), April story - Matsu's Rolling eyes
10. Queen of lunch Chatter
11. Antique Big Grin

It's that time of the year again, doing my yearly buy 10+ drama series thing. Few Qs:

-I always buy them from http://www.cinemashops.com/index.php, are there better sites?

-I want Salaryman Kintaro 1 and 2! Where to buy these old series?

-I have always liked Takizawa Hideaki, but he always plays such gloomy roles or stars in quasi intelligent series(no offense to fans of those dramas, just don't like gloomy dramas). Bokura no Madonna however, looks like a drama that's more lighthearted and funny? Is this correct and does he play a happier/funnier guy? I heard it resembles Long Vacation... that one was a bit too slowpaced for me, is this really like that?

-what other dramas should I buy?

Pls anwer at least a few of these qs, I'm ordering today...

I'm not sure what to suggest because I don't know what you have Bleah

For a Takki drama, try News no Onna. He's a little gloomy at the beginning but he comes out with some random zinger jokes. I liked him in it a lot. It's about a newscaster who recently marries a divorced man with a son (Takki).

Some other possible suggestions in general for funny moments: Oyaji, GTO, Big Wing, Hero, Golden Bowl, Hitotsu Yane no Shita, Itazura na Kiss, Kimi wa Petto, Long Vacation, Narita Rikon, Nurse no Oshigoto, Shomuni, Taiho Shichiauzo, Yome wa Mitsuboshi.

I don't tend to buy VCD's often, but the site you showed had decent prices. They could be a little cheaper, but I've seen much more expensive. I honestly tend to stick to Yahoo! Auctions Singapore. Many sellers ship internationally and have very cheap prices and rarer titles. Good luck!! I hope you do well in your purchase Big Grin

Hello. Well I am new here and I am a big fan of Asian cinema but one thing I do not know much about is Japanese drama shows.
I have seen TRICK and it's ace and I want to see more.
What are the MUST SEE shows I have to check out and can anyone recommend some with Abe Hiroshi and Yukie Nakama.

Thankyou kindly all Smile
