PostPosted: Tue Nov 29, 2005 8:18 am    Post subject: zip soft subs? Reply with quote Back to top

Can some one help me out getting the soft subs to launch for the Trick Special?

I've dealt with soft subs before. Usually they carry an .srt extention, and all I have to do is put the subs and the video in the same file and bam, the subs play along with the video.

But the subs for the Trick Special are in a zip file, and I can't get them to launch with the video. (I can read the text if I open the zip file, but that's not all that helpful.)

Any tips would be appreciated.

Can't you just unzip the .zip file resulting in the original .srt file?

loris,

Okay, dumb as a stump. It never occured to me that all I had to do was hit the wizard to unzip the .srt file.

One click, and suddenly the the subs launched.

Thank you.

Now I'll go hang my head in shame.

Just watched this, I loved it! I enjoyed it very much....haha, Yamada-Ueda is just crazy as ever! I just realized I really missed them! So glad that TRICK is back!^^

However...as a special drama....this episode is not SPECIAL enough x) Its just like any other episode in the middle of the series. I was expecting this episode would more like the movie, or the every first and last cases of each series^^ Y'know...when Yamada's mother involved in the case...some silly "spark" between the comical duo....and alot of Yabe!(he's my fave character!! xD) But none of them, included in the special...to me, that is still not enough Yabe....=(

Btw, how did Yamada saved from drowning in the bathroom? She was drowned exactly the same way like the professor....how come she's still alive?

I was disappointed there's no fan-service for Yamada-Ueda shippers x) But then again...I tried to imagine....how can they possibly continue their relationship to the next level, with SUCH characters?? xD I cannot imagine them in a rabu-rabu scene, at all...lol! If they DO officially dates (Ueda has declared his love in the end of the 3rd series, right?), I don't think they will have any romantic moments....so the only way to see them stepping to the next level...is marriage status xD

Most probably...since it seems, Yamada is going to live in Ueda's mansion from now....maybe that's where they will take the next step? Probably, Ueda would just ask her in a plain face, "Kekkon shiyou ka?". Then, Yamada probably would immediately accept it, saying in the surface, coz she needs the financial supports she'll get...lol!

It's kind of sad that Yabe wasn't there much. It could be that he wasn't available or they were low on budget. Smile

It's just a 1 episode special released a few weeks ago. It's not like other specials with interviews and bits and pieces from all the episodes. It's an complete story and I think it last for almost 2 hours.

It's more like a movie for TV. It's real good. Big Grin
