boris wrote:
p.s. What does Pyon mean?

Hey boris, I looked around a bit and I found this piece of info. this is quoted from MIT Anime:

Since it is used to address children, calling someone -chan can irritate them. Yahiko, the kid in Rurouni Kenshin goes wild when addressed as ``Yahiko-chan'', he's too old for -chan. In Bubblegum crisis: Tokyo 2040 Nene Romanova teases Leon by referring to him as ``Leon-chan''. Later, she uses other diminutives that irritate him even more, ``Leon-pea'', ``Leon-pyon''. (I believe -pyon is a sickeningly cute affix for couples. I am not sure about -pea.)

i guess -pyon is also used not only by couples, but by really close friends too. Similar to -chan I guess, but -pyon is a "sickeningly cute" affix to names, as the author put it. I'm not too sure about it though. Sweat

Aya,

This is coming not only from the man who loves you more than life itself, but also from someone who has a little experience in the music biz...

Egao No Mama De Is FANTASTIC!!!!!!!

Tell your managers to RUN (not walk) and release an English version of this song INTERNATIONALLY!!!!!!

I KNOW A HIT when I hear it and THIS SONG will LAUNCH you onto the INTERNATIONAL STAGE!!!!!!!!!!!

I have friends at some local radio stations and I'm going to see what kind of reaction we get with having the Japanese version aired locally.

I also know Corin Capshaw (the manager of the Dave Matthews band). He lives here in Charlottesville. I'm going to get this song in front of him. If he likes it he would be in a position to work a deal with Pony Canyon and the WHOLE WORLD WILL know about the most amazing girl on the planet - AYA UETO!!

I'M SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO PROUD OF YOU!!!!!!!!

I Love you Aya! Give yourself a big hug from me!

I sent you a small Valentine's gift via a friend in Torino--I hope it gets to you!

Mark

Sorry as much as I appreciate your enthusiasm toward ueto aya, you should use search engine to find her thread in this forum first before you shout your love out loud at the center of the universe Wink

The existing Aya thread is here..:

http://www.jdorama.com/viewtopic_3838.htm

Next time read the rule ok?

http://jdorama.com/viewtopic.5580.htm

So I will lock this one.

Agree. And... Utada grew up in US and knows how to speak english too. No offence, but I doubt Aya's english is that good. Sweat

Thanks Evie! I checked out the site. Becky looks like she's a lot of fun!

As long as I'm practicing my Japanese, I might as well have fun and pick up some Japanese idioms/blog slang as well.

She'll definately have to work a lot more on her english before any of her songs go international. Her songs going international now will probably be done as a remix and sung by a singer who is better at english Sweat

Yes, Egao is pretty catchy, has a nice beat and the lyrics sounds sweet.
As far as it launching her onto the international satage.....that is still to say I think.

Honesetly, I still like Yume no Chikara better. Gomen

Many ways for her to be better known internationally.
Say, she sings a song for a movie that goes international, or for a game...example. Koda Kumi did a song for Final Fantasy, a very popular game world wide.
Or she can do a song for a more popular anime serie

THIS SONG captures the feeling that IS Aya Ueto. So NO I don't want some OTHER WOMAN doing an English cover. Aya's voice sounds so sweet, so wonderful on THIS SONG.

I can personally coach her on the English needed for this great song! w00t!

THIS SONG makes anyone who hears it feel good about life and like Aya.

THIS SONG makes you reach for the autorepeat on your media player.

I agree Yume no Chikara is also great. Aya is starting to build some great material--so much so that maybe I can parlay an introduction of Egao No Mamma De into some limited engagements here...

Just watch..... Dancing

Aya's latest PV,

Ueto Aya - Egao no mama de

http://s18.yousendit.com/d.aspx?id=0LYIP9A4VO8C02RZZ533CIA0RF

enjoy w00t!

THANK YOU qilver! This 80MB download provides a very high quality video and audio version of Egao No Mamma De. If the "yousendit.com" link above runs dry I've got a link to the same file on my BPT server which you can access at

www.aya-ueto.net/forum (Video, Topic "Aya Gets Her Haircut" or something like that).

I figure paying for the bandwidth hit is the least I can do to repay you guys for the great material you're always providing here....

I view this and other DIVX .avi files using the DIVX player from divx.com (I'm sure there are many good players out there).

But I would like to export just the audio from this file... and my DIVX player won't do this.

Can someone point me to a good tool which will enable me to extract/export a high quality MP3 or WMA audio file from a DIVX video?

Thanks

M
