May i ask y were not allowed to use the "jap" word. sorry clueless here. oh and i stick to my opinion kahit parang pikon ka na sa akin.
That word is used to insult/belittle the Japanese people. It's like saying "nigga" to the black people (it's an insult if you are not one of them).
Hehe don't worry, I wasn't getting angry or anything about your previous comment. And why should I? You weren't bashing me nor were you trying to attack anyone in this forum. You just voiced out your opinion, and in a decent way. So I just voiced out mine as well. No grudge taken . Besides, it's a free country . _________________

totoo ba yung rumor about kay kame, na uminom daw sya ng beer? or alak...ang alam ko hindi kasi bawal sa kanila yun tsaka, di nya yun magagawa..hahaha..because he's a good boy..tsaka ang alam ko yung alak na yun para sa lolo nya..(not so sure if the liquior ay para sa ojiichan nya)
yeah, this was a rumor a few weeks back, i think. a tabloid published the pic. apparently, nong 2003 pa yun, plus the beer was just in front of him, he wasn't actually drinking it. they found out that it was during a relative's bday (not sure, basta some kind of family gathering) and the beer wasn't his but his uncle's. so johnny decided to sue the paper for staining kame's image. i didn't believe it from the start. i mean, malamang nga umiinom siya, but he wouldn't be stupid enough to get caught. haha. and besides, he takes being an idol too seriously. *pats kame's head*
on the other JE stuff, kusano was caught drinking, so the whole NEWS will get suspended starting this may. it's going to be for a whole year ata, not sure. basta it's for them to reflect on things. this is because uchi was suspended before for the same thing, so basically, johnny is concerned since two similar incidents from one group.
yes, there is a rumor that yamapi will be joining kt, but it's unconfirmed. besides, it's a pretty dumb move, since kt is debuting next month, plus they've already established themselves. pi joining would be weird. for me anyway.

welcome!!!! i think it would be risky on their (the stations') part if di nila itagalize, since masa yung target market. a lot of pinoys get turned off by reading subs, since they tend to concentrate more on reading them rather than watching. mas nagrerely kasi ang marami sa visual. that's my opinion anyway. it's kinda sad though because the drama loses some of it's essence pag nadub na. iba pa rin kasi talaga yung naririnig mo yung real voice, ne?
long post.... sorry.. sinusulit ko lang, since i'll be busy this week. baka matagalan. bwahaha. _________________

guess I spoke too soon, maybe I jinxed it... apparently Gokusen will not be aired on march. probably by may na. but still...as long as they air it this year, I'll be happy.
what's up with those boys not being allowed to drink? I'm sorry I'm not familiar with the NEWS boys (although I saw much of them when I was there, they were just starting then) how old are they? If the person in question is underage then it really is bad for him to be seen drinking, but if he is of age then I don't see the problem. If it's for his image, bakit di na lang sila magpakatotoo kesa may baho silang tinatago diba? and it's not as if the teenagers there (as in any part of the globe) don't have access to liquors. they have vending machines in very convenient places, where there's no need for IDs.
the kimutaku dramas that i'm sure will be aired are good luck and beautiful life

subs? dub?
actually this is already a long argument in anime forums.
personally, i would definitely go for subs. for one, i understand the language. two, i'm okay with reading while watching (having always been a viewer of foreign films). last, with subs, we could also hear the original voices of the actors.
however, i also realize that if jdoramas are indeed going to be shown on local free tv, then there is the market to be considered. who will be the audience? mostly the "masa," right? these people will not have the patience to read while watching. it's not that i am belittling (i'm one of those who fight for their causes) them, but it is the truth. their take on it is this: "kaya ako nanonood ng TV ay para makalimutan sa panandaliang aliw ang mga problema sa buhay ko, tapos papagurin nyo pa ako sa pag-basa? sa kabilang estasyon na lang ako manonood!"
sounds capitalistic (kung susuriin ang POV of the tv stations). pero think of one other advantage of going for dubs - it can broaden the entertainment choices/perspectives of its viewers. magigi pang aware sa different asian cultures ang mga pinoy. compare it with their own. it might also give ideas for those in our local industry to do better with our telenovelas.
besides, TV is for everybody, right? dubbing it in Tagalog would make it more accessible to everyone. besides, we have known and appreciated the real thing for years, let's share the pleasure of watching jdoramas with other people. kumbaga, the more the merrier. mahirap na kasi maging elitista, di ba? free country naman ito and if you prefer subs, then there is always the ordering of VCDs and DVDs (o kaya dl ka na lang).

la lang
Very well said . But watching subbed doramas doesn't make us "elitista". The appropriate word would be "underground people" . Or to make it sound better, we can call ourselves "purists" . _________________

yeah, its tru. medyo masagwa nga lang pag ganon yung kakalabasan right? pero i think, adavantage yun for us, na gustong wag ng itagalize, but, the problem is, most of the population, gusto tagalize para mas madaling maintindihan.. damn.. sayang.. hehe

thankies saito_hajime!
hahaha! i guess i sort of overdid it.
i guess we are at what can be called, as you said, "underground" or "purists." there is definitely nothing wrong there. but the "elitists" are those who are not even willing to share the ware with others. yung tipong who would kill you 'coz you know a character to be "eugene" and not "yuusuke" --> oops, wrong fandom
just to make it clear.
btw, i tried asking if telesuccess has vacancies for dubbing jobs. wala daw. sayang coz i was planning to apply. hehehehe!

Sounds like a bunch of savages to me . That's why I said we don't belong to that kind of class (not sure if everyone is with me though )

That's nice. Too bad they are no longer accepting other voice talents . By the way, in case you got hired, what kind of voice are you able to do? Is it like Sakuragi's (high-pitched) or Toguro's (low-toned)?

yup. for that, ilang buwan nang si uchi ang wallpaper ng maptop ko. haha. anyways, if i'm not mistaken, he isn't out of NEWS. he was just suspended, which was supposed to be for six months lang, but it's been more than that.
