You are right.. and there really shouldn't be any fighting. I apologize to the other members for taking up the space.. I originally posted to let others be aware and see if other people had situations like this and get input on how they handled it. I'm only trying to do the right thing.

There are so many circumstances to this situation and I've tried to work things through to be fair. But I still don't feel I should be the one to loose everything when we had a binding contract and it was a special order. You can't just place an order like that, wait till it's all complete and just say you don't want it and demand a full refund when I did my service providing good dvds.. just because you either screwed up on the format or your dvd player has problems. I wouldn't have the nerve to do that to someone.

ok, like kouseiya said, let's just not discuss this situation in this thread anymore. it was an unfortunate incident that probably could have been avoided had there been better communication, but things are as they stand now. let's just all move on, no negative feedback will be given to either side.

please in the future, tips for ALL TRADERS:
1. make sure you know what dvds your player takes
2. make a smaller order to make sure things work before you go and order over 100 dvds
3. don't take special orders from people (if you only provide -r, don't change it for someone because it may bite you in the ass later)
4. should a dispute arise, make sure all emails are civil and documented
5. you can contact me through PM to try and help you resolve a problem, or i'm sure a moderator would help you as well
6. NO FLAME WARS!!!

i just offer these tips in trying to keep this thread as helpful as possible for all people. trading is such an integral part to this community. i wouldn't want it to stop because a couple people had some bad experiences.

If you want it to end then why do you keep posting here making comments like that?

The lies can be found in my two earlier main posts seeking help on this situation. The three emails with 3 different stories on your checking the dvds.. first a few didn't play.. then they all didn't play.. then it's only 1 or 2 that didn't play. Then to paypal stating they weren't as described yet telling paypal you got the package and it was empty. I have all the emails and paypal info stating this.

Yes your money is still in my paypal account.. and I told you in 2 emails I was checking the dvds for errors and would replace any I found with new ones.. but you didn't even give me a chance.. I only got your returned dvds Thursday afternoon, I emailed you stating I got them and was in the process of scanning them with Nero and checking them on the computer and other dvd players.. which there was one with an error and the rest played fine. By Friday morning I had already received an email from paypal that you filed complaint, how is that fair??

I've offered a couple of options to you.. I am not just keeping the money. I told you in my last email I am sending you the dvds. They have been checked and work. I also gave you the option of offering you a refund minus what I paid for the dvd blanks I used for order. Since they were bought special for you and I won't be able to give anyone else this format. I'm not even worrying about all my time, labor, electricity into it..

I'm sorry your dvd player is fussy (as you stated to me several times) and I offered the suggestion of buying a Phillips that plays everything) I had problems with some dvds I was getting, yet I knew the people didn't send bad things, so Eve suggested I buy the Phillips and everything and anything now plays in it.. it's great!

If you have any more comments please contact me personally and let's not bother other people here..

sorry to all members of this forum. I should've read the good advice about buying before I wasted $200 on nothing. A lesson learned my wife told me this weekend. And people said its not about the money, Its usually about the money!. I hope others here do not lose out like I did and carpe diem!

I've traded before with Hanashimi, find her very helpful and honest. I don't have any problems with her DVDs and can play them all nicely. She's very helpful, always replied to her emails fast, very recommended trader.

Ditto. Same here. And if there's even a problem with the disc's, she always replaces them.

To Landrover, I'm not picking sides here. But I really do suggest you try them in a different DVD player. It's not always the disc's that are the problem. It could be your DVD player too.

I just like to add that I received the packages from Carole (aka Hanashimi) . I didn't get a chance to check them out yet but I just want to say that she packaged it very well and really appreciate her personal note included. She is a good person and I guess there was just some miscommunications and at the spur of the moment comments.

Sorry again about before to all your forum regulars here. I only posted my opinions and in no way looking for a flame war with anyone.

Carole seems like a nice person and I just need to becareful on buying online next time.
