I was pretty much disappointed in this season's dramas. Last season's (winter 05) were much better. The only thing that can still keep my attention are Rondo and Byakuyakou.

After watching some of Yoshitsune, the answer is a loud "YES." hehe

Problem with star-studded casts, particularly in one-shot movies, is that they're all fighting for screen time... It's less so with long dramas, like the ones from NHK...

hehe, yeah, i was just so surprised to see so many familiar faces. at times, that felt more like a hindrance than anything - particularly having watched them in so many modern dramas. it just made the satomi hakkenden so much less authentic (ie. from that era).

for period dramas, i would rather have unknown actors/actresses (unknwon to me anyway hehe) star in them - Romance of Three Kingdoms (the most recent chinese version) was good in that sense.

bmwracer: I like Takky too. He's soooo cute!

I just finished Star no Koi. I liked it, it was really good. I started now Keizoku. I like detective dramas, and it's one of the bests I have ever seen.

i just started watching this comedy called "maid in akihabara" it consists of short 15 min. episodes...it's hilarious and scary at the same time....

it's about this ex-hostess who finds a job at a maid kissaten (maid cafe)....some of these nerds make densha otoko look like kimura takuya...it's fuggin' crazy nerdification to the 13,000th degreee.

the female protagonist's voice is so high pitched i thought i had to adjust my television set....it's frieky anime style to the max! i think she inhaled a bottle of helium and then some NOS to act appropriately...

Hmm listening to the recomendations I saw GTO at last its very very good

just that I liked the drama but I have no idea what the point was in the movie....

in fact I have to say I should have just not watched the movie and I would have given GTO 9.5/10 XD

with the movie errr 9/10 =P

dunno I seriously didn't get the movie someone either I'm dense or something could someone tell me? =P

I also checked gokusen but didn't really seem to like it as much as GTO or Densha Otoko any other recommendation? (lol is it wrong for a guy to actually like romance/comedy (chickflicks) rather than action?

hehe anyhow ya.... XD

a club sounds nice too, but i will spare the hour or so, just to visit these nerd-infested lands, to see the maids and the experience, trying to shield out and ignore the annoying and unpleasantness of foul nerdy/dorkiness.

anyhow, the ep's were entertaining, how did you find such stuff yo?
i guess i will periodically check the site when ep3 will be out.

know any other j-dramas you can recommend?, not necessarily with maids... nyah Naughty Yes!

i'm getting sick of those school doramas and even hearing them...it's so played out already

watch one of those doramas with your babe nana katase in it...have you seen last christmas yet? it's pretty good.

have you seen long vacation yet? that's one of the most famous doramas of all time...if you haven't seen it, do so...
