Well, the rain continued to come in buckets over the weekend, and well into last night (Hawaii). Yesterday morning, one of my remote offices called on my cell phone telling me that they couldn't see the file server on the network. I was about to ask her to check a few things when she then said that the whole office was submerged in at least two inches of water. What's worse, the water came from two sides of the building... Talk about baaaaaad civil engineering!!!! My battery backup (UPS) that powered the server ended up getting shorted out by the water, my frame-relay fiber link to the site was down because of a 1800-pair cable being water-logged about a mile away... And, the server fried a RAID controller!!!!! I've had a VERY busy two days. Sad Life of a systems engineer.

I hate rain.

I live in MA so we did get a snow storm here. The snow piled up to about 2 feet or 24 inches. Getting to work was a hassle. We got stuck on a road and had to push the cars to get it out. I haven't had school for 3 days so far, so I'm hoping to catch up on some Jdrama. I'll pretty much be dumb by end of this week, if i don't learn anything...

Hi MixxDreamer. Can I ask you what is cold weather for you? Because here in Canada, we have -20 Celsius ( -4 Fahrenheit).

Tennis, neh? I used to play in High School, but I haven't picked up a racquet in 10-15 years... I gave away my racquet just this past year...

I hate skiing, hate it like hell... but I want snow on the fields, since the ground's close to freezing point already and snow offers a certain protection against the wind

Looks like the winter has really come. It was snowin last night, didn't know till I woke up in the morning. The whole area is covered with snow.
I really wanted the snowin would come as late as possible, non-snow winter, hehe. Sooner or later the snowin starts, there is no stopping it.

During our heavy rain in Hawaii, I was running outside with a rainsuit and rag, and used the rain water to wipe the car down.

It's been raining off and on here, too. And I washed my car on Friday. So typical. Bleah.
