Hi any one got any ideas where in sg there is Jap drama to be purchased coz i check with the few major retail shops like kim poh and TS they dont sell anymore

it isn't exactly legal for the retailers in singapore to carry japanese dramas... but those major retailers that you mentioned, they do sell japanese dramas when they have a tent set up outside a shopping centre or sth like that... n ive heard that a shop in liang court sells japanese dramas at a 50% discount, probably clearing their stocks, but i am not too certain if the liang court thing is still on.

Well, maybe we can update each other on where they have fairs so those who want the doramas can go down and get them.

Currently TS is having a fair at Marina Square -- if you enter from the MRT station (that is, you have to take the escalator up where the water wheel is) you just have to walk all the way to the end where it's leading to the food court (sorry, not familiar with Marina Sq)

TS fairs offers a selection like Mukodono 2003, Good Luck, Beauty or Beast and Hotman. So if you wanna get them can go down and have a look.

Poh Kim fairs offers a wider selection like the recent Moto Kare, Boku dake no Madonna, Stand Up and so forth...

The fairs only sell those latest doramas, so if you're looking for older doramas then sorry... maybe you can check members in m'sia.

what do u mean by illegel? Why is that so? btw so u mean there isn't any shop other than those 'tent shop' selling japanese vcds anymore eh?

Um. I don't think so. The fairs only sell the latest doramas, and only selected ones too, played in Japan from Spring to Autumn this yr only. But maybe if you go check out the Poh Kim store at Liang Court you may see some old doramas. If I remember correctly I didn't see Hoshi no kinka amongst the titles at Liang Court.

Oh btw jetfire, the Poh Kim branch at Liang Court is the only branch that still carries J doramas coz Japanese expatriates visit that place like every week (that's what I believe ) So if you really want the doramas really badly and there are no fairs going on, you can always pop down there and look. But I'm not sure about the price k...

Hey did u all watch waterboys?..the movie showin on wed..there is commercial showin sth about a show that is going to start on 18/1/2004..and it shows sth bout synchro swimmin..I have this feelin that they are probably goin to show the waterboys drama..do u all think so?

if that is true then you guys are really lucky... the drama is much more funnier then the movie... and all the songs inside is so summer feel to it.. which make it great... really make me feel like beach boys all over again...

my friend just send me the hint they shown on channel 8.. yes i'm certain now that they will be airing that drama on the 18th Jan 2004.. boy u guys are really lucky... have fun.. you guys will love the drama...
