no portugal, they suck...they are the worst divers of all the teams i hope they lose...they are even worse than italy when it comes to diving....
Lol, so now Italy players divers too? But hey, you have to admit that all the other teams have divers.. its not like Portugal and Italy are the only ones.
i agree! but portugal is the worst culprit......and then figo with his headbutt ...that fool should definitely have gotten red carded for that....
3 yellow cards? Now, that's stupid. Come on, he doesn't have any right to do it, he didn't make the football rules, who's he? FIFA bigshot? Who cares?
3 yellow cards is just stupid. first they ask the ref to be strict so that players would be more disciplined. now that they know they are already killing the tournament they want to make 3 yellow cards. what's that for? so that the players can play recklessly again? i think that's worse that being ref being lenient.
anyway, i think the ref in the germany-italy game was more lenient than in previous matches, and the effect is we got to see more free flowing and exciting game. dont you think so? _________________

i think the referee in the holland v. portugal match was very lenient...com'on he only gave 16 cards! the best ref. hands down!

all kidding aside...i agree with you....the referee from the Germany-Italy match was excellent...he didn't go crazy he let the teams play and as you said most accurately...the play of the game was much more FLUID...

Ronaldo's a savage
By MARTIN BLACKBURN
CRISTIANO RONALDO and his Portugal team-mates were branded gsavagesh by furious France boss Raymond Domenech.
The row, which erupted after an Under-21 clash, is sure to add extra spice to tonightfs World Cup semi-final.
Domenech was in charge of France Under-21s for a home match against a Portuguese side including Ronaldo and Hugo Viana in November 2003.
The clash was littered with X-rated challenges and the visitors trashed a dressing room after the game.
Portugal were fined heavily and Domenech fumed: gThey are savages. Do they think they are still in the time of the conquistadors?h
Ronaldo, who is locked in a bitter war of words after his part in Wayne Roneyfs red card for England against Portugal on Saturday, defended himself and his team-mates at the time by saying: gWe were just a little exuberant because we won.h
Domenech clearly remembers the incident and said: gPortugal are a team with talent, are well organised, know how to defend — and how to provoke their opponents.h
You know that I just want to cry right now Why do all my teams always lose. NANDE!!!!!
But I have to admit it was a good game. Germany and Italy held pocession almost equally. But still...ARGG...
The reason Italy scored the second time was not b/c Germany gave up easily. Usually when time is almost up, and the other team scores, of course they had to pull back their defense and go all on offense, if they didn't they would never had a chance. Germany would NEVER give up.
And didn't I tell you Italy was good w/ the dramatics ><
But what was really funny was what Italy said, "Germany is already scared of us. But after we beat Ukraine 3-0 they are even more scared of us." WTF? Ukraine, anybody could whip that team, if you had killed Brazil, okay...but Ukraine, what kind of threat is that .
Okay, that's my rant for today, lol. Now my hope rests on France (but they're probably screwed now since I choose them XD) _________________

that game was bombay, man. talk about a thrilling ending...i think overall the italians played just a little better....in the overtime, they were knocking on the door too many times. i guess it was inevitable they scored.
The italian goalie has only given up ONE goal in the WHOLE tournament and that shiet doesn't even count b/c it was an OWN goal by an italian player in the game vs. USA
Going into the Final, the Italians are on a unbroken 24 game winning streak in international play.....
no team in History had ever beaten Germany in Dortmund Stadium...so they look pretty strong.
