i'm quite indifferent about this ronaldo's stuff. to be honest, i was one of the greatest C. ronaldo haters before the start of the world cup (dont ask me why, i dont even know why. probably because his face looks like some little brats who needs a punch or two) . but after the incident between him and rooney people are just blaming him for rooney's dismissed.
well, he played well just now despite being booed by the spectators. in the earlier part of the game, i think i only heard the spectators' voice everytime ronaldo got the ball. they were more commited in boooing him than supporting the teams.

i agree he played well in this match but overall portugal did NOT have the muscle to get past france...i hope they go back to portugal and grow cork for French wine bottles.

Yup!! I was so annoyed by that booing. Rooney clearly stepped bethween that players legs, and then causes a ruckus, why in the world is that Ronaldo's fault? It was like every time Ronaldo got the ball for a longer time, the booing goes on, and Ronaldo handled it really well. Hes a talented player, despite the diving he sometimes does Beaten

germans live up to racist tendencies...good job, losers!

German Fans Vandalize Italian Restaurants After Defeat
German fans damaged Italian restaurants and torched garbage bins after the host nation was defeated by Italy in the World Cup semi-finals, police said on Wednesday.
In the central town of Quedlinburg, some 25 fans stormed into an Italian restaurant and knocked over chairs and tables after Italy won 2-0 late in extra-time on Tuesday.
In Stendal, also in the state of Saxony-Anhalt, some 40 German fans targeted an Italian ice cream parlor and in nearby Magdeburg, they ripped the flowerboxes off the windows of an Italian restaurant.
The police said 150 troublemakers also torched garbage bins and smashed bottles in Hoyerswerda in the eastern state of Saxony. Police spokesman Jens Baehr said seven people were arrested and later released.

In the western city of Zweibrücken a brawl broke out between about 200 people, but nobody was seriously injured in the incidents that saw 12 people arrested.

hahahaha. of course. it's the match for losers.
but if you watch the 3rd place match 4 years ago, this is the only match where people actually make friends. when turkey beat korea in that match, the turkish playes to join in their celebration. it was really a memorable match.
you can see some of the picture here.

Ah well, football brings lots of joy to people. but also hatred to other countries during these tournaments. (well normally with clubteams too) and oftenly things turn violent after a lost match. It's nothing unusual.

didn't some Korean dude threaten to blow up the swiss embassy? hehe

as for C. Ronaldo: tonight he just continued doing what he does best: diving and screaming for freekicks. and he rarely got given one. he and his teammates should be totally ashamed of him and his foulplay. this doesn't change the fact that he's got lots and lots of talent ofcourse. He reminds me of the young Figo. players with so much skill really don't need these tricks to win. I guess it's in their blood n culture... Shake Head

as for boo-ing players, or whistle at him when he's at the ball: it happens alot here, we dutch even boo at our own players LMAO hehe I know it's really pathetic sometimes, but sometimes it's justified.

Ohhh, just booked tickets for me and my sis to a European champion ship preliminary(?) match, Portugal - Finland Mr Green Since its played in Finland, why should I not go? Hehe, its not so hard to guess that I rather cheer for Portugal than our team, cos they just suck. I just wonder how the heck are Portugease gonna play here in September, I mean its freezing cold! I hope the weather is good, and the temp isnt lower than 15 C's.. cos then I dont even want to sit there. it might also hurt the game so Shake Head

Arf german's fans ! But when people gather that can quickly become dangerous. Crazy

Woah what a very hard match between Portugal and France and a little boring because no goals, but very exciting at the end ! Bonk
Abidal and Malouda for France are very bad, like always ! Bang Head rofl Thuram and Sagnol were very good in defense !
I think that the french coach must change the position of team for next game because it's the same since game with Spain, yes it works but players seems tired tonight !
Also Zidane, Vieira and players who have already a yellow card were afraid to have another one, so they were prudent ! rofl
Portugal played well but so bad they were great comedians too ! Beaten
In 2nd half, Figo and co. were so foul. They made faults and jumped in grass as soon as they lost the ball. Bang Head Completely anti-game. Beat You But sad for them the referee was good and not stupid ! Huh huh !
Their attack's position was good but defensive position of France was good too and Barthez played very well !

I'm happy cause Portugal lost by their own error: a very merited penalty ! hehe

Germany-Italy was so hard too ! Italy so lucky, 2 perfect goals in the end of the game ! I didn't expect that Italy could win, Germans were good but Italy too, the winner was the one who could hold longest ! Applaud

Next games:
Germany-Portugal: I give advantage for germans, but tactics of portugal can work: eating the grass and beg the referee ! Mr Green

Italy-France: Italy is become more stronger since 2 games. Like France who started slowly in first round but after game with Spain they were more confiant. French team can play very well against stronger team. And France have Zidane, he will give her best for his final game ! Even if he loose, what a great player !

Ganbatte ne everybody ! w00t!

(Sad world cup is finish soon ! Where is in 2010, we know ? )

They blamed it on C. Ronaldo because he interfered in something that was totally NOT his business. It was between Rooney, the ref, and the guy who got his crotch stepped all over. C. Ronaldo tried to start something that he shouldn't have knowing Rooney's BAD temper. It might have been a set up or something... knowing that Portugal are a bunch of dirty cheats. HAHAHAHA.

it seems here and elsewhere the Portuguese have cemented their reputation as dirty cheats...let them crap in their hats and live with it....

actually i've seen a lot of players aside from ronaldo who had interfere with the refs in football matches. i mean, it's kind of normal. not that i like this kind of attitude, but i think people are blaming him too much like it has never happened before.

Lol, I will finally shut up when I see France actually playing football, not playing time bleh

Also, I dont blame Ronaldo of diving, you just saw that it worked with Henry, and other players, so why not try it again? You just won by diving. All the ppl are talking how Portugal dives, but have they actually thought that their own fave teams dive too?

Henry did not dove in a scandalous manner as C. Ronaldo (this means without being touched), a Portuguese player grabed his feet with a tackle, he had no intention to dive. The ref' is what's it all about after.

You said "France sucks at entertaining people", didn't you? Well, that's not the opinion of the French so as long they entertain their country (and win which is a thing you still can't quite understand), then the most important work is done.

And what do you expect by the way? A striking 8-0 on every team? Do you realize how many matches in the World Cup are occuring and finishing in a 0-0? Of course Italy are entertaining people because they are mostly scoring on the last minute of the time. But then, France won against with 3-1 (and a goal scored in the end by Zidane) and all you said this was "an ok match". I could ask you "Where was the fun in Australia-Italy?" Oh, I remember! But I would say "They got a fake PK at the 91st minute so they deserved to win".

And scoring against Germany in the last two minutes as well was fun. I'm sure they'll keep the French team run until the last minute then they will score. =O

What a strong, marvelous team we have there indeed.

Tu_triky & Tenshi01 >> Photos are ready! I went back this morning at 7:00 (when my father left for work XD). But I'll have to upload them and resize them because they are too big (2 Mo each photo!). I still haven't eat since the match yesterday. XD
