Well, about everything on Singapore has been mentioned by someone or another...

Anyway, I am from Singapore too! It's clean and green! LOL! Nut

Studying and working here is so stressful!!! But overall, it's a great place! Stricter rules only mean more security and safety! Smile

In fact if you are visiting Singapore.. shopping at those less popular places might be more worthwhile since you can buy stuffs at a much cheaper price..
Town areas like Orchard sells stuffs at a higher price because of their rentals.. but of course you will need a guide to bring you around.. or else most probably you gonna be hanging around town only..
Singapore doesn't have really nice scenery though.. cos there are buildings everywhere...

buahahah, sadly, yes, I don't know where it was until u told me. and until I went again recently. Maybe because i live all the way at the other end of Singapore (OK.. that was an excuse)

BTW, I always shop at DAISO at IMM. not in bulk of course.. just the japanese foodstuff which go for $2 ea.

I'm not a handphone expert, but anyway, check out the samsung series. My friend just bought the SGH T400. It's very user-friendly, very colourful (the screen).... if you want camera-phones, try:

SGH V200, it has the rotating lens thingy to take photos. http://www.samsung.com/sg/products/gsm/gsm/sgh_v200.asp

SGH-E700A, the one being advertized right now. It can take selfportraits, but if you ask me, it has more functions as a camera than anything else.

Yup... but then again i'm no HP expert.. just according to what my friend said a bout samsung phones.

I don't live in SG, but I have the Samsung V205, which I think may be a version or two newer the above mentioned Samsung V200. I got it back in late October 2003. It's a very good phone and holds 100 saved pics. The pics are decent quality. They look GREAT on the phone, but if you email them to yourself on the computer, you might want to do some editing of them, depending on the picture type. I don't think there are really any cell phones that take pics as good as digital cameras, LOL. I paid $50 US for it (after mail-in rebates). The memory capacity is pretty damn good in my experience. It holds a good bit of ringtones, pictures, text messages, emails, etc. You can use both text messages (SMS) and picture messages....and you can use email via the picture message menu. If you are looking to spend less money, check out the V205 (err....V200 for you, I guess). If money is no object, check out any of the brand new Samsungs, which may be a bit expensive. Samsung is a very good brand for cell phones. They are well worth the money and give you good performance.
