Sad but true, Tsuji Nozomi and Kago Ai are indeed graduating from MoMusu this summer, but at least one good thing comes with every graduation... new MoMusu members.
I can't help feeling a little nostalgic each time I read about MoMusu history and with Aibon and Nono leaving the group the nostalgia will increase.
Anyway, Tsunku knows his business and this kids have enough talent so I have no doubts about their success as a new unit of the H!P

I still HOPE the Tsuji-Kago news is a bad bad joke.
How can they break the Love Machine curse.... which has been around for ages!! Some more, it is only one more member (Kaori) before the curse is complete......... Either Tsunku is doing all these on purpose, or he really is a Martian.
For those who missed this file, there are still seeders ! (Just wanted to recommend since it's very nice) Like an early Memorial video about Kago & Tsuji including many nice scenes. Better don't miss it

Personally I feel that the biggest advantage of MM is also their greatest disadvantage.
That's that members come and go so fast, unless you're a real hardcore fan, there's no real way of "getting to know" the group properly. Just when you've finally started to take note of some newer members, chances are if they're not the popular ones, they're already halfway out of the group.
I'm not a very big MM fan, and off hand I can only remember the most famous ones (Natsumi, Yuko, Mari, Ai Kago, Nozomi, Maki, Rika, Hitomi and even Ai Takahashi, but excluding Miki). I mean, I don't even have a single clue about the newer members. This is exactly what alienates MM from most people.
It's like I don't even know if Abe Asami is a member of MM or not.

Abe Asami is under a totally different music label (Sony) and she's never a part of H!P or MM.
Yeah, what you say is very true. Unless you're a hardcore fan, you couldn't keep up with their latest happenings - and I'm not saying abt the change of members, I was referring to the Hello Morning episodes, the variety programs they attended, etc. And not only Morning Musume, you also hafta consider the whole HP family....... because they're so much interlinked to one another.
I wouldn't say I'm a hardcore fan, but so far I've been able to keep up with their releases, group formations, know every single person in HP (yes, even the Hello Kids) and basically know and understand the whole HP root. But no, I haven't made an effort to keep track of the Hello Morning episodes, their public appearances (except for MS and Kouhaku), the Ayaka lessons, the HP Sports festival, the concerts, the random stuff. No way. I'd soon go crazy trying to complete HP homework. I already have trouble finishing Ayu homework.

Speaking of minimoni, does anyone knows if mika speak enuff JPNese? Everytime there is a JPN function or tv special, I see everyone EXCEPT for mika. That tells me her grasp of the language is only memerized in the lyrics when she performs. _________________

I don't know, but I'm positive Mika knows enough Japanese to speak decently.

She was never part of H!P? Wow I had no clue about that. I thought that being Natsumi's sis they'd just rope her in as well. No wonder her photobook is of a different 'format'.
Out of the entire H!P family I'm only really into Ayaya stuff. And even with that I have lots of problems catching up.

Mika's Japanese is pretty good. Sometimes she has to ask the girls a meaning of a strange word but she can have a normal conversation with a japanese person. At the very least her japanese is better than Ayaka's.

With the success of 2001 and 2002 sports festival this year they held 2 sports festival, one in Osaka and one in Tokyo. This video is mostly from the Tokyo sports festival but has some highlights from the Osaka one as well. I'll focus on the Tokyo one.
Kicking off the event we have the two teams, Blue Hello and Orange Project, lineing up. The Team leaders swears in that their team will give it their all.
Leader for Blue: Nakazawa Yuko
Sub Leader: Kaori Iida
Leader for Orange: Kei Yasuda
Sub Leader: Natsumi Abe
You can see in the third picture some of the orange members wearing their medals from the Osaka event.
First up is the 60m dash. Everybody competed in this event so I'll just highlight some random heats. What was surprising was the Hello! Project Kids did quite well and beating out some of the older members. These kids age from 8 to 12. Poor Yuko who is 30 was beaten by some the H!P kids
There were some casulties, Mari twisted her leg in this event and was unable to compete for the rest of the time.
Two of my favourites members, Ayaya and Takitty
More casulties, Ayumi Shibata from Melon Kinenbi did something to her leg.
Then for the final showdown we have the 4 fastest heat winners. Mai Satoda who was the 2002 MVP and won this event in 2002.
Maki Goto who won this event at the Osaka festival was MVP for that festival. A H!P kid who is pretty darn fast, the other girls better watch out for her in 2004. Nozomi Tsuji who injured herself at the Osaka festival and was unable to compete for the rest of the event there, she has a very competetive spirit and wanted to compete even with the injury but officials denied her request. So she's really pumped up for this festival.
H!P Kid01 heat time of 9" 91, Mai Satoda 9" 68, Nozomi Tsuji 9" 55
Maki Goto 9" 60. And then there off! Maki and Mai had a bad start and Tsuji was like the wind off the start.
Mai gave up near the end and it was a photo finish between Nozomi and H!P Kid01. Blue team rejoice because they got 1 and 2, good for the points and Nono pumps the air in victory!!
More to come...
