I'm sorry to hear that you think Golden Bowl is boring. I have to say that this dorama is trying to cover a wider range of fans. Remember this is a story around an older or faded hobby, Bowling! How many bowling alley is out there in your area now? Maybe bowling is not your game. Therefore, this would be boring for you. Also, notice the leading actress is in her 40s! This is a show that is geared for the older folks. It was aired on Sat around 10:00PM. The younger crowd is partying at that time. Also, notice the songs they used, they are all odies sang by the original artist.
The original concept of Trendy dorama or "soap opera" and drama is to attract housewifes who will see the commercials in between acts. I like this dorama because the real story is not visual, its all in their conversations.

so u mean that it would be worth buying? i am actually interested in buying it since i am a fan of kaneshiro takeshi but i am afraid 2 buy in in case it is one of those doramas that i would not understand (like love complex) and this would really spoil my impression of him(takeshi)
If you are a fan of kaneshiro takeshi, you should get it because he hasn't been in dorama too often. This might be his third one. Give it a try!! He wouldn't take this role if he doesn't like the script.
What I meant was that the writer had included a lot of messages in this dorama. i.e. this story contains friendship, romance, new and old love, family and even extra-martial affairs themes and age differences. But this is a comedy with a comic book flair. You just have to listen to their conversations.

I agree with Guest. If one is a fan of Takeshi Kaneshiro, then one shouldn't have doubt on whether should get the vcd or not. After all, he doesn't act so often in dramas so this will be the chance for his fan to grab it as a support to him.

Hey everyone puts First Love down, i thought it was rather good. I thought the story was very dark, and sure Fukada Kyoko is either liked or hated by drama fans. But that aside its a drama that at the very least should be watched. And bought, if for a cheap enough price. If you dont mind spending 10bucks go ahead and buy it, if its anything more than that, forget it. Instead you should put your money into getting "sora kara furu ichi-oku no hoshi (a billion stars fallin from the sky)" with Kimura Takya.....hot damn thats such an awesome drama, each episode alone is good enough to be its own movie its so damn good. It seems the new dramas have not been updated to this site yet so... there are no review for it yet, but HIGHLY recommended! BUY BUY BUY!

storyline: SPOILER . . .
this story is about kyoko-chan having a crush on her teacher [watanabe] and then he got fired becuz someone told the principal dat he wuz dating one of his students . . . like Majo No Jouken . . . of course they were against it, and then kyoko-chan's parents found out about it . . . becuz the person dat told the principal wuz kyoko-chan's sister; this isn't kyoko-chan's blood-related sister. As the story develops, Kyoko's sister started to date watnabe, this wuz like 5 years later i tihnk?! And then finally, kyoko-chan met watnabe again .. . they both started to have feeligns alreadi; but the problem is kyoko'z sister is about to marry him but there'z this guy . . . da guy from GTO . . . forgot his name gomenasai . . . alwayz liked kyoko since highschool, kyoko tries to forget watnabe by dating this guy and even losing her innocence to him . . . i didn't say soem certain words becuz i'm scared i'm gonana get banned . . . gomenasai anywayz, at the same time, watanbe wuz also in the same hotel as kyoko with kyoko'z sister . . . he told her dat he doens't wanan get married and then kyoko'z sister wanted to kill herself . . which she sorta did but watnabe saved her and he ended up in the hospital . . . and then i'm not gonna tell u the rest . . . you'll have watch it . . . but all i could say is da sister alwayz did bad stuff to kyoko-chan becuz she wuz jealous of her. . . and for why u'll hafta watch it urself alrite

the onyl reason why i watched this wuz becuz of kyoko . . . everything else sucked in here! and it'z not kyoko'z fault . . .cuz her acting wuz great liek alwayz, and i'm not saying dat just becuz i'm her fan . . . the low rating wuz caused by the storyline and cast . . . mostly everyone in here wuz new actors/actress . . . and the story dragged sooooo much! i practically had to forward most of it cuz it wuz tooooo BORING!!!! but of ocurse everyone has their own opinion so u'll hafta watch to see if u agree or disagree gotta go now

i liked it, but i dont know about fukada kyoko's acting skills to be honest. She really didnt say that much in the show... she called her sisters name a couple times and the guys name a couple times..and then just stands in silence with a sad look on her face...come now... i can say my moms name with a sad face too, doesnt mean im a good actor LOL... I Like fukada but i dont think this was one of her high points in her acting career.
anyone from singapore , it seems that we are unable to get anymore new doramas anymore , i noe the nearest plabe to get it would be JB.

The latest Jdorama I saw selling in Singapore is Takuya Kimura's 'Sora Kara Furu Ichioku No Hoshi'. Have you watch it. I think it is a great drama. I strongly recommend it. It's true you can't find many new Jdorama in Singapore anymore. Depress.....

I just bought Lunch Time Queen (Takeuchi Yuko), The Sun's Season (Takizawa Hideaki), Nurse's Job (Part 4) (Fujiki Naohito) and Don't want this kind of Summer Love (Hirosue Ryoko). Bought all these from JB's City Square. It cost between RM38.50 to RM55. Quite expensive but it's very worth it for die hard Jap drama fans. Took the bus too. Wasn't checked at all.

I think Hero is the better one , but a friend of mine says, that these two can not be compaired! What do you think?
