Hi!
I've looked around Yahoo!Auctions Japan for Joe pics and thought I'd share these finds:
I have a teeny bit favor. Do people have HQ pics or scans of Joe as Bijomaru Mogami in Azumi? (like a bigger version of that tiny scan below?) I'd be so grateful if people could share them here or send me by PM or e-mail ingalenight @ yahoo.com Thanks in advance!

Joe as Ginko : Live action Mushishi
I saw this movie the other day (there was a screening of it for the filmfest in toronto) because a friend told me it was good, but it turned out to be very disappointing.
The story is unique and intresting at times but most of the movie was just flashing back and forth from the past to present with no warning, at times you don't even know what time period you're watching.
The "walking scenes" are like 5mins each where we just see Ginko and his sidekick walk through the woods with no talking, music or any other sounds other than their feet snaping twigs on the ground. And there are a LOT of walking scenes.
Acting was average at best and the ending was the most confusing thing ever, it just.... ended. I don't want to ruin the ending for anyone but as we were leaving the theater there were people saying "so, what the hell happened?"
I wouldn't recommend Mushishi(Bug Master) if you're into action or traditional Japanese action scenes. The story itself has deep meaning behind it (I hope because i didn't understand anything) kind of like Evangelion. Only watch this if you are a hardcore Joe Odagiri fan or like to think extremely hard to understand the movie.

Hey Wai! You been busy too? I've been bogged down at work myself and haven't been able to post as much as I'd like.
Just watched "The Uchoten Hotel". Joe's part was sooooo small! And his hair!!!!
Overall, I thought the movie was pretty good. It was better than I was expecting, but I wish it had a little more physical comedy in it. Shingo's part was cute & of course I enjoyed Ito Shiro & Namase Katsuhisa!
Thanks for the info on "Mushishi" Chrn0! I guess I'll wait for the movie to come in at the rental store instead of buying it like I did with "Shinobi". Don't get me wrong, I liked "Shinobi", but I was expecting more action so the movie was a bit of a disappointment for me. Now I know not to expect "Mushishi" to be an action movie. _________________

Most of Joe's movies I've watched are quite different. I mean, sometimes I don't really understand what the story is about. Like Bright Future and Scrap Heaven But I like Shinobi, Maison de Himiko and The Uchouten Hotel, small role but very interesting
What I really like about him is that he always plays different role, and we can always see him with different hair style in every movie he is starring. And as for hie dramas, for me some of them are really good. My favorites are satorare and beginner. He's sooo adorable _________________
Awww.... the topic has become active again, finally I'm so relieved... thought everybody has forgotten about Jo Odagiri already didnt see any posts for so long
Anyways, I found this pic of him while surfing the internet ... awww he's so handsome my husband.....
Wai, all your movies are bought on the internet? Is there any that you found it in Singapore? I only can find Shinobi, Azumi and Princess Racoon only.... why they never sells the others ?

Here's the description of Black Kiss from CDJapan.
Director Makoto Tezuka and a stunning cast featuring actor Masanobu Ando bring you an unpredictable, thrilliing Japanese psycho thriller film! A series of bizarre serial killings leave decorated corpses strune around Tokyo--the complete brutality of the killer's motive shocking even the police. One day Asukal pursuing a career as a model comes to Tokyo where she witnesses one of the murders setting off a series of attacks around Asuka and her roommate Kasumi. Asuka, Kasumi, the cameraman fervently pursuing them named Tatsuo, and the policeman trying to solve this all named Yuseke now find themselves entrapped in a web of horror!
Squall_Ryuji, i bought all the movies from CDJapan. We can hardly find any of the others coz there may not be any market appeal, IMO. Know for sure that Death Note is hitting the theatres soon though. Looking forward to it.

Aa...sankyu for the picture. He's indeed handsome right? hmm...sometimes I feel so "high" everytime i look at his pictures I love his eyes the most _________________
Woa you've been collecting a lot news about him, heh thanx alot... I've watched the trailer of big river.... abit boring, since Joe appeared to talk only, there is no action at all, nor comedy, or any other cute scences... feel like because there is Odagiri Jo, that's why I sat there and watched the trailer.... if the main role is not him, it's not worth to even watch the trailer....
I've just bought the TvNavi magazine, since I saw his name in the front page.... I bought it without thinking twice and when I reached home, browse it and saw his pics .... gonna scanned them out and show you guys .... I feel that I love him because I miss my Odagiri in Satorare and Kao, or Shinsengumi.... He was very handsome, and cute and hot and cool at the same time but now... really that I dont feel any attraction in him... I even dont care about his new coming movies, he's TOO UNIQUE for me to accept his appearance he keeps changing his hairdo, his wearing styles and all the things that now I feel somewhat sickening about him I'm really sad now, especially after watching his old dramas.... Seems like I love Odagiri Jo in the past only...

Heh...not able to sleep, so came online to check out some stuff.
Joe's special website. Didn't know that his official website has a new look!
Think i may have to get Black as well since the tracklists are different. But then again...after listening to the clip of banana skin...
Anyway, i think it's ok to say that you like him in certain roles. Perhaps you will find him good in some of the newer shows. Personally like him coz he's so versatile. Can't say that i like everything that he wears, but he is an interesting character.
Haha, I cannot sleep, either yea, I still love him and hoping there is something new about him that I will like it... I bought the TvNavi in Kinokuniya @ Orchard. It's $7.60... the price is acceptable for me... you get his new album ? How is it? Nice? Is it the one with "Cherry the Dustman" there? I'm a old- fashioned girl, so I dont not really fancy something that is abit odd

"Bug Master" trailer available
A teaser clip is available on the Website of Katsuhiro Otomo's comic-based live ation film "Bug Master" ("Mushishi"), starring Joe Odagiri, which was in competition at Venice Film Festival this year. Click the blue rectangle button on the lower right on the Website's top page.
A bag master is a fictitous profession in or around 19th century Japan that Yuki Urushibara made up for her long-seller comic. They can see the mysterious live form called "mushi" (bug) that is not an animal nor a plant, but can cause trouble in humans' lives.
"Bag Master" is scheduled to be released in Spring 2007 in Japan.
