Hey. ^_^ New to this thread. Pretty much this forum, too. =P I wish I could go to Japan during the summer, since I'm planning on going there for a few years after college, but my mom isn't...Uh. Hm. Not supportive. ("How dare you not support your own country?! -spazz-")

But I just got into NEWS, so what's the deal? I LOVE Sayaendou, but I heard something about two members being arrest or something, about drinking, and not being able to come back until 2007? I'm not sure. So NEWS isn't broken up or anything is it? Like I said, I'm new to the NEWS fandom, so I don't know. Sorry. ^_^;;;

ermm.. in a nutshell, one of the members, Uchi Hiroki, was caught underage drinking and was suspended June 2005. The rest of the members went on with group activities. Then, in January/February 2006, another member, Kusano Hironori, was implied in an underage drinking scandal. As such, NEWS were put on a reflection period and all group activities ceased though the other 6 members still have individual activities.
Sayaendou was initially recored with Kusano's voice, but they re-recorded it without Kusano. They say that NEWS will be back as an 8 member group in 2007, but, who knows... these were the same people that said that Uchi would be back after 6 months of suspension, and still no news of him ^^;

Six months? ...Do they usually like suspending them for that time period? So is Akanishi Jin (KAT-TUN) really suspended, since he said six months, maybe more? o.o;; Grr..stupid Johnny.

Well, I guess it's because 6 months seem long enough to show that the offence is serious, and short enough not to worry/anger/lose fans. But, well, hmph, we all know what a JE 6 month can be like

As for Jin, some fans do doubt the truth of him actually going abroad to study, seeing that he didn't complete high school and that KT has only just debuted, and a grand debut too. But, if he says that he wants to study, if JE says he's taking 6 months off to study, then so be it. Second guessing JE only makes us crazy

If you'd like to see NEWS as a group, you could watch the PVs, old SCs and a few tv shows they appeared on. But, admittedly, there isn't much, considering that they debuted without being a junior unit and had only occasional guest appearances on SC. And even then, Ryo and Uchi weren't always there due to K8 commitments ^^; Even the SCs that they produced don't have a full attendance seeing that Uchi was suspended after only Koyama's SC...

Like the pudding wars, Superman fighting, the "evil world" Maki's classmates introduced to him, Maki's identity unfolded in the last episode, and Maki's getting out of control when Tegoshi and the girl visit his house in the last episode.....

But the problem is they don't have a defined date of when will Jin return, and they even said that it may be more than 6 months.....such uncertainty make Jin fans worry like hell...........

JE's sense of time is slightly distorted, to say the least. But, in a way, Uchi's return after the supposed 6 months, if they ever intended to let him return then, was hindered by Kusano. There was no way they were going to let one boy return from suspension while at the same time suspending another for the same offence. It just wouldn't reflect well on them.
Why they're still delaying his return is something that we can only just speculate. I agree that Uchi's punishment has gone on for too long already, but, I still believe that he would return. If he wasn't going to return, either against or according to his wishes, I think JE would have made a definite announcement already.

Jin, hmm, well, the circumstances are certainly suspicious, and I know numerous conspiracy theories have popped up already, but, we'll never know the real truth behind everything that is JE-related. You either choose to believe, or not to believe. I can't say much about Jin, since I've never cared for him, but his absence does somehow make me a bit sad.

I think if Uchi can't return to NewS b/c of Kusano's incident....I think he should at least return to Kansai 8 first.....It's not fair for him to get extra punishment for Kusano's incident......And it's not fair to Kansai8 as well......to prolong the time w/ missing 1 member b/c of Kusano......Or if not return to Kansai8, at least let him get some solo work like the other 6 NewS members do......Uchi is an adult who finished schooling already, he needs to work!! I bet JE would not pay any salary to Uchi during suspension.....and with that prolonged suspension......he has no income to support his own living......(maybe he can still rely on his family, but that's......) I think JE is really too harsh for Uchi!! >__<

Jin.....I am not really his fans either.....just that he's Yamapi's best best friend so that I am concerned about him.......I know Yamapi will be very lonely after Jin leaves Japan (if he really will), it's even worse than just leaving the entertainment industry! That way Yamapi can't meet him in private either.......poor lonely child............

My mind works a bit differently than others and this is how I see it.
As a company, JE has to take the views and perception of the public very seriously in order to maintain a respectable position. Uchi was suspended, then Kusano, and then the group put on hiatus. General public were probably already connecting NEWS to drunken minors, so JE had to take NEWS out of the public spotlight for a while.

And so, by taking NEWS out, there was no way they could allow Uchi to return, at least, not before NEWS were put on hiatus and not until some time had passed. Because, bear in mind, Uchi was one of the culprits that caused the hiatus. They couldn't let Uchi return when they had just announced NEWS to be on a break. The public would think, "oh, look, they're putting the group on a break, but they're letting one of the troublemakers come back". It just wouldn't sit well with the general public, though fans would be delighted as hell.

That, however, is just my opinion, and it is only about why he hasn't returned earlier. Why he hasn't returned yet to K8 is something that puzzles and frustrates me, but, it could possibly be also for the same reason above. The problem is, Uchi is in two groups, and letting him return to one group, while the other group is on a hiatus because of something that he partly had a hand in is, well, to tell you the truth, unfair. I don't mind it, but, the fact remains, its unfair... don't see why it should concern JE though, seeing that they've made quite a few unfair decisions already, what's the difference of another one? I sure would like to see him back

looks like its Tego fever now... and out topic favorite is Baka-Jin studying... I think since he is Yamapi best friend then we talk about him here... For me I think when Jin went for study, for sure Yamapi will be lonely but I think Toma and Ryo still there for him right?

Back to Tego.. OMG!!! MBMH was great! I spend whole night watch it! at first I just like where is tego? where is tego? When he out OMG! he sooo... cute! compared to Gachi-baka he's like too serious.. I just realized that Tego can do so many expression ne! suddenly reminds me to Yamapi expression
My favorite scene? many.. definately the Puding thing, I like puding too.. the superman makes me laugh so hard early in the morning! and when tego and his classmate go to maki house..

actually I'm tired thinking about Uchi and Kusano suspended that bring to NewS hiatus.. I know about NewS from Yamapi in NWP.. and by the time I get NewS.. I only have few months before the hiatus! So its like I just get to know them just a while. And during that time Uchi was already suspended.. that's why I really want to get to know him more.. but this unfair mass just make me so mad.. that makes me hates kitagawa so badly! there is no news about him during the suspended.. At least we know about Kusano. Uchi should be with K8 right now.. then with NewS next year..

WELLLLLL.......interesting! (well, anything about shige is interesting to me, anyways).

if he really did have them straightened, then i say 'Good for him'. he smiles a lot, and if it is going to make the smile better looking for all of us to enjoy, then why not?

oh yeah, i was just thinking other time, that you know what makes Shige's smile really mesmerizing? it's because he smiles with his eyes, as well. I mean, when he looks at the camera, and he really LOOKS AT THE CAMERA, he has this penetrating look, like he is looking into you, and he has this kind of sweet, shy smile.

massu's smile is, of course, brilliant too.... he has a more 'direct', open smile, like he's totally carefree.....

the others' smiles are of course also very ....um....how shall i say this : er....good? (you get the idea)
