The new trailer for Letters looks so good. I hope they will release it in the U.S. soon. I'm not sure what his actual chances of winning the oscar would be, but that would be great if he was actually nominated. Then I know he'll be in L.A. then.

knickcam: nomination would be like the biggest thing for nino~ i mean, hello!? this is his debut and he could get a nomination? that's soooooo rare for a rookie (well, in america) to get an oscar nomination... (so nvm winning it!)...but even if he doesn't..
if audience walked out wondering who ninomiya is and think this actor is "not bad"..... i think that's huge praise right there~ keke~
now i'm just wondering what the heck i should wear for the first show here~ i swear i will watch the FIRST SHOW.. and take tons of pics on the poster (w/ or w/out his face... most likely, w/out).. and i will try to hold myself from screaming when i first see nino, but that would be very unlikely~ lol~ (i hope it's ok for me to flash my camera at the bigscreen~ lol.. ppl will think i'm crazy which is GREAT because that tells other how popular nino is!~ puhahah)

saw the caps of nino's movie's new trailer EVERYWHERE (ok not everywhere. just here and LJ) and i just have to say that i am so so super happy for and proud of nino. i mean, come on.. the guy's in a clint eastwood movie. how crazy is that?!
of course, there's other things to be proud of as well..
sho's new kisarazu movie
jun's upcoming drama .. which just so happens to be the sequel to a huge hit last year
ohno's butai that's starting (has started already? dunno but he looks awesome in it)

PinkDragon: I didn't want to sound negative in my post, but what I was implying was I doubt that he will get nominated. You're right, it is a tough field and because the film will not even be in English will make it harder for the Academy to accept as a "nonforeign" film. I think the buzz on him getting a nomination is to get more people to come and see the movie. Thanks for your comments.

yes. it'll be tough for him to get a nomination for the Oscars... almost impossible really considering he's a foreigner, a very young actor who is also in a "boyband" & acted in a might be controversial piece of film. I think that's why Nino jokingly said he wanted 3 Oscars (sarcasm is ninoism) which is quite a feat to achieve. The film wouldn't even be eligible for nomination for this year's Oscars & a February release is considered too soon for the next Oscar race.
