More tuna than I could eat in a week for 3000Y? Sign me up again! I caught on that that one was in Misaki--famed for tuna--but that's all I caught. :p)
EDIT: Oh, dear. My husband wants to know if anyone has tapes of these (and the earlier one). I doubt anyone's recording it, but if you are, I can send you money for tapes/discs and postage. Or we can meet up and I'll buy you coffee and snacks at Clover Bakery or something. |
Hey, Wintersweet, I have both parts of that special on my DVR (but don't have the Spring Sushi Special anymore, sorry). I was planning to burn them onto a DVD-R. It would be easy to burn an extra one for you. PM me. A year or so ago, I sent you a videotape of...what was it?
By the way, I don't believe they gave any actual addresses, just directions from whatever train station (as you know, the Japanese address system is totally baffling anyway).
Oh, and Shari, I laughed out loud when I saw that the next thing in that timeslot will be yet another KHIS series!

Ahem. In the first episode we actually SEE EIKO'S FACE. None of us thought it would actually happen. I'm wondering if next episode will reveal it's actually just her twin sister! ... |
All I'll say is no. Don't expect to see her in all the episodes.

Then you should use the spoiler tags.

We should add that to Genma's "to do" list.

Well, you know that the suggestion box is actually the Recycle Bin.

wintersweet wrote: | Hmm, this Sunday comedy they just promo'd looks interesting. I realize I won't understand 99.9% of it, but I'm tempted to watch it anyway. I didn't catch the name, though. |
Nodame Cantabile (I think that's the spelling).
It's a dorama adaptation of a popular manga that, I think, is being published in English these days. I haven't read it though... I'll have to check over in Borders. It may help me understand the dorama.
The dorama's getting good buzz from the people getting torrents of it.
I'm really happy with the fact that Sundays are going back to comedy from the spat of heavy dramas they've had since about February. I've hardly watched anything on Sunday this year. Also, it's nice that TTV is also going back to the currently airing doramas. I think Rondo had run its course before TTV got it, and Umizaru came out in Summer 2005.

Just in case you weren't tired of my off-the-wall questions... Was anyone watching tonight's IQ Supli right from start? If so ... do you know where and what that wacky building with the green-lit sphere is?
(Yes, I figure it's in Japan, but what city? )
Also, can anyone explain the guy in the villainish makeup and headpiece? (Wrestling star? Cao Cao? I have no clue.)
EDIT: Woo, I got the Supli de Dare, which I get every once in a while. It's funny how long it took them to get the answer, when any time the item in question is announced as originating in China, the first guess is usually "ramen." _________________

I really liked the series (except Yamada-San cried just too much). I didn't like Rondo too much either. I was looking forward to watch Choi Ji Woo after Winter Sonata. Too bad Rondo is so dark. |
I actually enjoyed watching the Densha Otoko Deluxe, but the show did get weird at times, like when they went to the islands, it was super funny what that girl did to those guys! i was laughing for hours! _________________
