It looks like you don't see enough of Uchi & Ryo's interaction with K8 to make statements like that. FYI, both Uchi & Ryo think of eito as their SECOND family instead of just friends/members. Uchi LOVES being with K8 because he tends to get spoiled more by the older members, who always seem to treat him like their little brother. And let's not talk about Ryo. In the last Film Fiesta, he confessed to the WORLD that he LOVES K8 members very very much! Besides, Uchi spent 4 years of his Johnny's life with K8 members before he joined NEWS. (And Ryo has had 6 glorious, happy, turbulent & struggling times with K8 members before NEWS).

I'm not even saying that both like NEWS better or like K8 better. I think they like both, only differently.

Hey, kinda sorry i brought it up....er....it was me, wasn't it?

anyways, i just got 1 news to share with you guys. i'm sure that some of you may know this already, but i was surfing along on the net....like as if i had nothing more important to do....when, all of a sudden i bumped into this thingy called VEOH. it's where you can download videos.

and its like, you got to install their thingy on your computer and let it run (exposing yourself to any unidentifiable virus / spyware / whatever else there is in this world), and then you kind of search for what you want, after which you pretty much leave it alone for like a zillion hours, (realistically, 1/2 hour i guess) and you get clear videos. ok, so far i got TEPPEN (OF COURSE), then YELL, then NIPPON NEWS SONG in the rocket.

i have yet to get the YUME ...song. but i dont' think anyone can beat the DEDICATION # 3 fan vid on YOUTUBE.

and to YOUTUBE. i still love you. only now I have got veoh too.

Oh, about the K8 and News tug of war : i wouldn't worry to much about it. let UCHI and RYO decide what they want. yeah, they'd be pretty trapped to decide EXACTLY WHICH friends they like best. It's like saying I hate you but I have to enjoy working with you : so what the heck, might as well enjoy BOTH teams. Afterall, the other members of the team, seem to not mind it so much, so why should we?

to me, if they are happy, they are productive. if they are productive, they are here for us. So, that's better than them getting all sad, and they decide to leave BOTH groups. yeah?

'sides, the fans of UCHI and RYO get 2 x of each guy. so, HOW CAN THAT BE BAD?

I don't think I appreciate K8 being valued by their looks. They have wonderful personalities that endear people to them, and I'm glad that JE have finally concentrated on increasing their popularity instead of just focusing on the Kansai area like before. And I don't even think that they aren't that good-looking. Sure, maybe they don't have the pretty-boy look, but they are definitely good-looking. If popularity is judged by looks alone, Ohkura is one of the most striking Johnny's with an exceptional face. Ryo and Uchi were in K8 long before NEWS, and there's no comparing the two groups.

On a totally different note, I am totally happy that the Jr. Medley on MS had Sayaendou. Of course, it would be better if NEWS sang it, but the fact that they are finally performing it now after so long is good enough. The medley was a pretty weird mesh of juniors everywhere though. It was just too chaotic. Ya-Ya-yah featured quite heavily in the medley, which is just making people more certain that they'll be the ones to debut next (though I hope not) and I like the outfits that Kisumai and ABC were wearing,

Back to NEWS, I don't see anything wrong with people liking Shige... or any other member for that matter. What would be wrong is if they didn't. Everyone has their own favourite, or, if you're like me, rotate through each of the boys.

I may be biased (they do say that love is blind ) but I see nothing wrong with Yamapi. He could go fat and bald and I'd still love him. Like I once said, when you find the personality underneath, the looks just don;t matter anymore. It may be easy to change the way you look outside, but inside is a different matter. However he may look, he's still the same Yamapi that we all love. (or, in the case of monta, love, isn't the word)

Shounen wa Tori ni Natta was okay, if you like watching stuff with sick, dying people in them. And I always love watching a young Yamapi.

The song that lizakajang mentioned Shige and Koyama performing is T&T's Yume Monogatari.

all juniors start off backdancing for their seniors. well, maybe not so for Tegoshi since he debuted almost right after he joined.
That's where they get all their experience in dancing. They need to know how to do backflips and such. I don't agree with them putting backdancers as young as 10 for songs that have dance moves like Daite Senorita, because it is just sooo wrong for kids to do something like that, but they do it anyway . It's not like they don't have enough older backdancers. I also don't see why they have the need to fill every inch of space available ^^; A testament to how many Johnny's there are?

You are welcome! Yea, I LOVE those pics, too!!! Yamapi looks GREAT here. Yea, I agree he doesn't look very good in the newest TBC CM, but I think it's just b/c of the quality of the CM and the angle of shot........It has NOTHING to do w/ Yamapi getting UGLIER! XD

Yea, Kansai 8 are very good entertainer�c�c.always make audience laugh�c�c..I can never forget their Power Ranger outfit! XD But I only know and like 4 of the Kansai 8 members, the four that appeared in the HeyHeyHey episode I talked about above�c�ctheir talk is just tooooo hilarious!!!

Just saw this news from a Japanese blog, saying that Koyama said when recording the Ya-ya-yah TV show that NewS will return on New Year Countdown and they have already started preparing for the production of their new CD!!!!! I am sooooooooooo HAPPY!!!! And I want to watch that Ya-ya-yah video clip if they do broadcast this part!! Please we want to see it w/ our own eyes to verify this piece of GOOD NEWS!! Please don't cut it away!

Speaking of Kanjani8 ^^; I personally think they have a stronger bond than NewS does, mainly b/c they were together a lot longer, and they had tough times to go through, unlike NewS who was successful from the beginning. Usually tough times means stronger bonds in the future, so maybe NewS suspension will make them a stronger group. I'm looking forward to their return ^^ I just want to see how much they matured

I agree that Kansai 8 have stronger bond b/c they are together for longer time........and they had some tough times to go through, but wasn't that before they debut? It seems they are doing pretty well after debut......but I would not say NewS was successful from the beginning.......When NewS formed, no one thought they will be a great success.......ppl thought it might be just a temp team that won't last forever.....4Tops fans and Kansai 8 fans both protest, and ppl dislike the 9th member for saying he only get into NewS b/c of his parents.........and ppl get jealous of Tegoshi for debut right after he joined Johnny's.....And then the 9th member quit less than 3 months after NewS formed (said b/c of school, but newspaper said it's b/c of bad behavior), and then Uchi got suspended in less than 2 yrs after NewS formed. In less than 3 yrs, there are already 3 ppl quit or suspended.....bad news and scandals never stopped in this team, I think it's one of the most unfortunate Johnny's debut team ne.......And b/c they didn't know each other at the beginning, they had tough time to get along, everyone was very worried and held strong uncertainty about their future.....I think NewS have already experienced ENOUGH tough time, I really hope that everything will be fine for them after their return.

maybe it's something that the younger, modern members of the Japanese public accept and appreciate. i dont think it'd be accepted in Malaysia (as our more reticent culture will ensure lots of hue and cry is made to ensure such acts are not repeated).

My guess is that Johnny's entertainment, being run by the infamous Kitigawa, purposely teaches the Junior's to do those dances/songs. afterall, isn't the japanese culture based on obedience to your seniors and teachers and bosses and parents.

Actually, if the kids got talent, they got talent. Ok, the fan base may not be that big without hot-ness, but i've seen some people just dripping with sex appeal, babe, but when it comes to talent, they are just rubbish.

I just hope the juniors will grow up to be sensible and balanced young men in the future : like Yamapi and Koyama ....well, compliments eary in the morning can hurt!

Well, even after Kanjani8's debut (which even came as a surprise to them ^^; ) they weren't as successful as NewS. But yeah, NewS went through some hard times too, if you watch the Nippon DVD and you see Notti, Shige, Teshi, and Pi standing together, they had that long awkward pause of silence (but the caption said "Immersed in a peaceful and harmonious atmosphere" LoL) And during the Johnny's Sportsday 2003, Ryotan didn't even talk to Koyama and Shige, he just eat a lot of bananas until Pi arrived and he got so excited to see him
But basically, everyone in JE has to go through hardships, that's how you grow, even if they DON'T want to go through more hardships, sometimes (usually the media) won't let them go peacefully.
But I'm glad everyone in News has bonded so much since then (o^^o) And brought Pi and Ryotan together again, and let Ryotan meet his new pet....errr...I mean Teshi xD
