I LOVE Stand Up! I think Pi's role as KenKen was pretty good (the kiss scene was a little...well....it needed more work xD) But other than that, I think it one of Pi's better roles, better than Kurosaki at least. To play a train-model loving dork like that was perfect for him....I'm starting to think he plays the dorky type very well *coughAkiracough*
Personally I just enjoy these types of funny corky dramas. And come on...an all-star cast..Nino, Pi, Shun, and Narimiya!! I didn't really enjoy Anne's character all that much, she did annoy me once in a while

Since massu was the one I first got eye contact with. Tego was kind of out of reach in the begining. It somehow felt easier to walk to massu and talk. Tega came forward when I was talking with massu and that's how I got contact with Tego.
When he gives attention to somebody he's feels very charming and outshined massu.

actually the story was boring.. but I do like 'Ken' since he is the only one that have the courage to tell his feelings.. but the reason why I don't watch for the third time is becoz I don't like the girl..

I do have see Shounen wa Tori Natta cd here but there is no english or malay subtitle.. so I don't buy it.. but if I just wanna see Yamapi butt why not ne?

ok, this is probably gonna make me a hated person, but can you imagine if MASSU went with Shige or Ryo instead of Tego?

I mean, MASSU would probably never get a chance to even flash his smile, before he is cut short by dear RYO with his witty statements. Shige would probably not stand out as much, considering his past 'appearances', but by the way HE'S BEEN LOOKING LATELY, i'm gonna have to wonder whether his personality might have also been 'upgraded'.

massu's a little shy, maybe. considering tego's more comfortable round strangers plus he speaks better engrish.

hey hantuwriter, saw that too, on VEOH, and i must say i was rather surprised that guy just got up and walked out of the room stark naked and started arguing with this lady....no subtitles, so didn't know what he was saying...they walked into the kitchen i think and he was still pretty much naked.

ok, i didn't think he was particularly sexy when in the tub, his ribs were visible. but having said that, that guy sure is comfortable being naked.

I like Yamapi in Stand Up! KenKen is SUPER CUTE!!!! And really really pretty. I agree that the plot isn't that good, I couldn't stand some of the parts either, especially the first few chapters and those 4 girls. And yes, Yamapi's kiss is soooooooo fake.......but then considering it's KenKen's first kiss (in the dorama, KenKen was a virgin and never kiss before), I think I'll let it pass.......Besides, if they DID have passionate kiss, I MUST get very very jealous....LOL

But as the story goes on, it's getting better in later part I think. I appreciate the friendship among the 4 boys very much. Pure and real and sincere. And I especially love the part where KenKen gave the adults a lesson and bravely pointing out the hidden rotten side of those adults, and how he bravely admit his love for that girl Suzuki Anne played (I don't know her role's English name) in front of everybody. Some part of this dorama is lousy, but some part is pretty meaningful, too. So I think it's worth to watch at least once.

LOL, the reason why I started watching Stand Up! was because of Nino, Yamapi and Narimiya Hiroki. And Nino did a superb job and Yamapi did good with his random train facts . Like you said, the four of them had a nice friendship, and it was pretty funny. Maybe one day I'll finish watching it, especially since I only have 1 episode left. At least, it does attract me more than AP and GI did ^^;

Speaking of AP, when will the SP be aired? Aargh, I haven't even finished watching all the episodes yet...

Yea, Nino is pretty good, too, in Stand Up. But I like Hiroki in this drama more than Nino. His character is soooooooooo hilarious!!! ^o^ So my ranking of the boys is: #1--Yamapi; #2--Hiroki; #3--Nino. The 4th boy�c�cI am sorry, no feeling for him at all, his character is least interesting I would say.

Yamapifans: you are right Ryo does not appear much in the AP.. but if you are Ryo's fan, you still can wacth it. I heard there is AP special was filming and Ryo was at Honolulu hopefully there will be much Ryo in it..

ladylola90: I don't think there is Stand Up malay here.. we have the english one.. if yes then its must be the one that monta said.. there is some drama that translated with the indonesia malay, then there is weird malay words come out.. (its like ape bende ni?) but when monta watch malaysia malay... then he found the weird words.. ha ha..

About AP, well, I can't really be a fair judge of it. I haven't finished watching it, and I dread the romance between Aya and Ryo's characters. It's stupid since it's just a drama, but, somehow I don't like Ryo being with Aya. He can be with any other girl, just not Aya

Even the Kame fans said its story isn't that good. Most of them say his new dorama of this season is much better than Love Supplement.....

Hm.....I think Ryo-chan looks pretty good w/ Aya......And he looks good w/ the other Aya (from 1 Litre of Tears), too.... I know Ryo-chan will have new drama w/ his fellow Kanjani 8 members. I wonder what's the drama storyline.

Ryotan's roles in the "kanjani8 dramas" are very minor. In "Kemarishi" he just plays a member of a underground casino. And in "Dive into the Future" he just plays Hina's college friend.
It's good that they are giving the other members more time to shine since Ryotan has been in more dramas than they have ^^

AP was so-so for me, but Ryotan made it 10x better....he always does for me ^.^ But I heard it's going to be more focused on Misaki and Shota....so hopefully MORE Ryotan

hantuwriter you don't like Aya?? Hehehe I love her(didn't know she was so famous)! I also think she and ryo make a good couple I decided to watch AP because I heard it was pretty good and I knew that Ryo wasnt in it as much as 1LOT but Ryo's appearing at least a decent amount of times..I'm just watching the story because I like Aya's character(who's really annoying sometimes)..I'm on Episode 7 right now and I really want Ryo and Aya to get together..When does the AP SP come out because I heard AP ends as a cliffhanger....and do you think the SP will have more Ryo???

Up to episode five, i'm working my ass off... this dorama is so not interesting. The dorama itself doesn't have a strong plot, seems like random bits of stories put together... Gosh... though it was about 5 people i think it's rather Sho focused (is his name correct? malay text sucks). Some parts are absurd and i think the editor / director wasn't really good, every timea flashback happens, it actually doesn't feel like a flashback so it gets you confused many many times...

I actually find Aya a very charming actress, she plays with good expressions...
Ryo barely acted in the dorama IMO, i mean, the only thing i noticed was everytime he gets mad at Aya and walks out from the curry noodle shop thingi. But i think i heard somewhere that it was actually done on purpose coz all the romance are kept for the Attention Please Special, i hear there's gonna be a lot of romance in it... expecting much from it...

I don't like any character (yet) in StandUp, i somehow find them all very annoying!

yes there is... Maybe back then, indonesian dorama providers thought that indonesians are so retarded they can't even understand english... Puh-leezzz...
but doramas with malay or indo subs i think are retexted, don't know if there is direct downloads with malay text... And of course i didn;t buy DVD or VCD, i think it wasn't worth watching. But yes, I do have to say thet Yamapi looked good in this dorama!!!

The acting was okay, not bad, but haven't you seen better from them?
