The drama ROCKS! Tho it's a bit annoying sometimes when Densha's stuttering goes whack, but other than that, a grand comedy.
Movie was the poops. _________________

Don't worry. As usual the movie and the series are two different stories about the same topic. I saw the movie first hated it and was enthralled by the series..... except for excessive overacting when stammering . As you will have noticed by now.

"Densha Otoko" is widely acclaimed as one of the best dramas in 2005. I am curious as to the kind of experience in thespian art you may have to qualify your statement.

actually, it took quite a lot of "acting". the computer scenes had to be done mostly by having the characters pre-record their voices (with the emotions) before hand in another room. Then afterwards, they had to put those voices into emotions without saying anything on the video camera. Doing it at once is easy but doing it separate just get the feel of real computer chatting is hard to do. They say this took hours and hours to do.
I'd say it took a lot of actor skill.
btw, i thought this was a very good drama =]

I know it must have taken a while to shoot those scenes. In one of the specials on the drama, they said that although the "computer friends" scences were quite short, they took a veryyy long time to shoot!
