Blog with a lot of pictures. Something you probably won't visit while in Japan. The guy finds abandoned building, goes in and takes a lot of pics. There's even a pool table and a beer vending machine left at some place. Mr Green It looks like an hotel.

Just click on the calendar on the right to change the date.

i read this post over at another forum...this has got to be the worst host family exchange experience EVER. American teenager staying in Japan

Quote:

I am currently on a foreign exchange in Japan and i have to say i have had one of the worst host dads ever. he`s so rude to me. i really can`t stand him so thank god i only have a month left (i`ve been counting the days for a long time)
here`s some examples
on the first day, the. very. first. day. i went home together with the family. first it was pleasant but as we were sitting down to dinner the dad is looking over my information and points to my weight and says `is this real? are you sure you`re not more like 90 kilos (30 kilos more than what was written down...)?`
i am not fat i am a normal sized 17 year old. i am on my cross country team back in the states. i couldn`t believe how rude he was especially on my very first day and when i was already so nervous to be in a new country and he had to say something so rude.
it wasn`t a joke either.

here`s another example, during around the half-way point i came home from the gym and i was so tired and the host dad says to me that i had really tried hard. he also said the word `debu` (fatty) in that sentence so i thought he was calling me fat again (he called me fat and compared me to the buddha guy with the big belly a lot during the year) and i had finally had it. i never confronted the dad before, i was always patient and pretended to ignore but that day had been bad and i was tired so i finally confronted him and he exploded.
he got in my face screaming and saying that i was making a mistake and how he didn`t care what i thought about him. the mom had to calm him down he was storming around and yelling angrily the whole time. sometimes saying very rude things about me. i couldn`t believe it. he calmed down finally though. i cried that night. i hated him so much.

here`s one/two more recent examples of his stupid shit:
he asked/scoffed why do americans make such a big deal out of christmas. i replied to him that it was a time to get together with family and the celebration of jesus` birthday. `that`s it?` was his basic reply `just because of jesus` birthday?` (he`s catholic. he`s such dumb shit.) i asked him what`s so great about the new year. `because it`s the start of the new year` he replied grinning as if that explained everything.

one more. he told me about how after the war (he was born after the war so he wasn`t a soldier or anything and his family wasn`t affected by it either) that there were many americans in japan. they would teach him boxing and give japanese children american candy. he then added later on how they would call americans akai oni (red devils) because of how red white peoples faces get.

why did he even have to add that? why is he so rude? are all japanese men like this? i hate him so much. it`s kind of dettering me from japan but i`ve liked my classmates a lot i just can`t stand this guy. sorry about all this text. thanks for reading, please give me some advice or hope.
