I did know that Nanako Matsushima and Sorimachi were married in real life.
I didn't know about the rivalry between Takenouchi and Sorimachi, though.
It appears to me that Sorimachi is the most successful of the two men - would this be right? |
That would be right, I guess. I think it was a friendly rivalry though

I found it FABULOUS viewing. Really really enjoyed it. So jealous we have nothing this good in the UK.
I've got the special and the movie.
I saw about 10 minutes of the special, but I'm going to have to watch it again because it was confusing! |
Nothing all that confusing about the special.
Onizuka is doing that old lady a favor by teaching at that school you see him at _________________

All I saw was some woman in a news room having flashbacks (or something), and then Onizuka rolls in on his motorbike and saves a kid from squishing himself on a railway line.
And then I turned off and scratched my head, lol. |
oohhh.....my bad.
You're watching the movie then if it deals with some kid trying to get run over by a train
Yea....this one wasn't good as compared to the movie or the drama, but Tanaka Rena is just sooo hot _________________

Oh...shouldn't I watch the special first, then the movie?
My discs are not well labelled, so I just presumed I was watching the special.

While Sorimachi is no doubt an excellent artiste and "GTO" an equally excellent drama, your statement is a bit over-presumptuous.
Japanese dramas back in the 70's built the foundation for the domination of TV time throughout Asia. The likes of "Oshin", "Sign wa Bui", and "Akai Meiro", to name a few, were the craze at the time.
