I was downloading Bus Stop from JTV. Then the Bt client froze on me, so I restart the download by opening it again. Then it gave me this error msg.

"IOError - [Error 13] Permission denied"

Does anyone knows what that mean? This is the first time I have gotten this msg. I am also dling Otousan and it's dling fine. So I don't know what's happening. Sweat

I don't have a firewall. The speed of my download is slow, but the upload is fast. I'm currently only using Norton Antivirus and nothing else. Does anyone know where I have to configure the ports?

Yes... but now I also have another problem is:
"Error 13- permission denied"
so it wouldn't let me download and I notice that these links are from Jem's and JTV.

Very hard to say... Probably the best advice I can give is to use another client, such as the Java-based BT client. Don't use the ABC client because that's built on top of Shadow's client, so you'd probably experience the same problem.

nah - it just uses java. as long as you have java installed, you should be fine.

Unrelated to Bittorrent, you should still install service pack 1 so you can take advantage of all the latest Windows hot fixes and such. I'm a MCSE+I, so I know that there's many vulnerabilities without the updates.

it is a gret client, but uses too much resources. i had to delete it off my machine because after a while, it would lockup my 4 month old dell.
