Thanks Smile

Check out the various NHK Taiga dramas, like Musashi, Toshie To Matsu, Komyo Ga Tsuji, Shinsengumi, Yoshitsune...

The first three are probably the best of that bunch. Victory! Peace!

Yoshitsune? Yuck.... When you miscast the lead actor, you're in big trouble. Shake Head bleh

I have seen seven or eight Taiga dramas, and have enjoyed all of them to varying degrees. For me, the best one of the lot is Aoi Tokugawa Sandai (aired in 2000). It's about the first three Tokugawa shoguns: Ieyasu, Hidetada, and Iemitsu. The first two episodes overwhelm you with names and places, but as the series goes along, they become comfortably familiar. An absolutely brilliant screenplay by James Miki and a superb ensemble cast composed primarily of veteran consummate actors--hardly a pop idol in the bunch.

Hi i'm new here however i'm not that new to j-drama i've seen some but that was like many years ago and now i have a lot of time and interested in j-drama again so, I strated with gokusen (since it was very popular in my country) And I really Love it!! . I also already have watched GTO long time ago and It's one of my fav 'till these day. So, i guess i'm kinda like the story about shcool , somethings about teacher and student I was moved by that kind of story. And just recently i have a chance to watch Jyoou no Kyoushitsu and no doubt it become one of my fav already. So, just wondering if you guys could recommend ones for me. I have no idea if this kind of story have many or not. Any recommendations would be appreciated.

Welcome to JDorama. I would like to suggest Medaka - a teacher/student drama that is not in quite the same flavour as Gokusen or GTO.

I'd recommend Yankee Bokou ni Kaeru-based on a true story.

I'll second that recommendation: a more adult teacher-student drama without the obnoxious distraction of lame fruity boys. Beaten

For school romance drama : Hana Yori Dango 1 & 2(well season 2 hasn't finished yet), Kou kou Koushi (actually is about teacher-student love)
For Moving dramas : Good Luck!(If you like kimutaku from pride and Kou from orange days, you should see this because Kimutaku and Kou played very well here), Love generation, Yasashi Jiikan(about father-son relationship, its really touched me), Engine (another kimu's best drama)
Well thats the first thing that comes uo in my mind, hope it helps.. w00t! w00t!

Highschool student love story ne~? Hmm..
Hana Yori Dango 1 & 2(well season 2 hasn't finished yet), Kou kou Koushi (actually is about teacher-student love)
How about sekai no chuusin, its a story about a boy who couldn't get over his girlfriend who died 17 years ago, or why don't you watched 1 little of tears even though it not all love drama but still good..

And if want to watched mature love drama just watch Pride, love gen, beautiful life..

Hopes it helps w00t! w00t!
