i dont think yamapi has that many solo lines for news...since he isnt the best singers...and the lines have to be spread among each members~~!!
btw after watching shounen club....i realized pi actually cut his hair.....but he kept the same style, though the hair is shorter = =" which mean...i dont like this style at all lOL

Actually I am not surprised that they didn't know Kusano.........Koyama and Shige mentioned several times that their classmates didn't know they are JE artistes.....Even Yamapi isn't 100% well-known by all the Japanese.There are just some ppl who really don't pay any attention to the entertainment world.....

Agree. Yamapi never have too many lines in old NewS songs....usually just 2-4lines more at the most, but sometimes it's less than that. And now they only have 6 ppl, not 8, so each member get to share more parts. Just see Sayaendou, the lyrics is shared among the 6ppl pretty evenly.

i 2nd that, i agree yamapi doesnt have the 'oh so nice' voice but i admit he sings ok like kame do... teshi and ryo and well masu sometimes ~ they sing alot of lines... and way before that, uchi and kusano as well but more of uchi... but i wonder why shige isnt singing at all ~ i mean there isnt any single lines at all, most like doing back ups...
btw let me ask for those peeps who heard the new track, did shige sang a solo part there?
oh btw thanks to yamapi ranking whos currently ranking as top1 in the popularity contest in some japanese poll ~~ kanpai!

and im really against w/this petition not because they dint petition for kusa... its enough to know that theyre back in JE, isnt this a good news for both of them right? i hope they wont push thru w/this ~ we all know JE isnt the right person to demand something from him

"Yamapi and Masami in the new Monday 9pm Fuji drama called The Proposal Campaign.
The information of Yamashita Tomohisa of NEWS (21) and actress Nagasawa Masami (19) co-starring in the Monday 9pm drama tentatively called The Proposal Campaign was released on the 4th. This drama will start in April. Thought the two of them had worked together in the TBS drama called Dragon Zakura in 2005, this is the first them to co-star in a Fuji Television drama.
The Proposal Campaign is about a guy called Iwase Ken (Yamashita) find himself in an awkward position while attending the wedding ceremony of his beloved childhood girl friend Yoshida Rei (Nagasawa). Since Ken has not been able to confess his true feelings before, he receives a second chance to go back to the past with Rei to restart their relationship. It is a comedy about how Ken struggle for winning back Rei.
Yamashita portrays Ken as a person who is stubborn yet clumsy in his love life. He said �I�m very nervous to be in a love story at on a Monday 9pm drama. Since I�ve worked with Masami before and she�s was also a younger colleague from my high school, I believe we will get along well.� Nagasawa�s character Rei is sporty and with a cheerful spirit, yet with a strong fighting instinct. She said �This is my second production with Mr Yamashita. I�m glad that we are able to become a fantastic work combination.� This drama portrait 7 years of her life, in high school, university, and as an adult member of society. It will also feature her from school uniform to wedding dress. Other actors such as Fujiki Naohito will also appear in the drama."

Ok, now ON THIS ONE, I gotta agree with Yamapifans. i wouldn't know the new local artistes if i ran over one in my car, in the streets, in broad daylight.
besides, i guess that the guys wouldn't look so 'artiste-like' when they go to class. i mean, they'd prob be in sweatshirts or t-shirts and look like any other college-kid in Japan. I mean, if you already look like a Japanese, in a Japanese college, with lots of trendy kids roughly the same age (well, i heard that everyone in Japan is trendy), and sit in a class of about 30 students minimum = so plus minus a few things = yup, i figure not everyone will notice you.
Besides in some unis (NOT SURE ABOUT JAPANESE UNIS) your classmates can change every now and then, depending what subjects you take, and whether you have to repeat some subjects or not. so half the time, you're trying to just find yourself a seat, get the notes down and worry whether you gonna be able to finish your assignment or not.
or else, they are so used to having you around, they don't think too much of you? (ok, who ever wants to kill me for this statement, i accept ) _________________

well, i'm not very clever, but i thought his sayaendo bit was quite good. and the one in that song, Yume No Kazu Dake Ai Ga Umareru wasn't brilliant but it was passable.
the one in Happy Music was ok....Survival, well, let's leave it at that.
but if you meant a really long solo in a group song like yamapi's part or tego's part - apart from Sayaendo - .....nope, i don't really recall one. _________________

well, that's normal.... shige even mentioned once in his nikki last year when he went to watch a school program someone actually told him that he should join the johnnys...
and the point that most of them still ride train to go to work or even to school, doesnt mean that they are not popular or something... just that japanese doesnt really mind them in the crowd... and are treated as normal individual.

actually he does have a solo but its unofficial (so i guess hes not the really poor) ~ the title of the song is SURVIVAL... but opposite to that, i dint survive watching the perf... sadly the songs is really bad... his voice doesnt suit the song...
and i just found out shige plays guitar like a rock star!!! when i saw the pics ~ i was swept away by his kakkoi-ness... let me post the pics ~

i was freakin out yesterday coz way before january i already pre ordered NewS calendar like thrice alreand and cancelled it bcoz im hook up w/kanjani8 ~ and anyway i haeard from someone last night that NewS calendar in HMV is already sold out and when i check it ~ it was really sold out together w/kattun and arashi calendars... luckily amazonjp is still open for pre order, not as cheap as hmv but not as expensive as cdjapan... not really bad... nway, i so wanna kick myself for cancelling those calendars before ~~
but nway i think some of them will re-stock, they always do ~

Haha, me too, especially those new local artistes....many of them even my middle-age mother knows but I don't even heard of their names�c�c^^;; Seems like my mom is more trendy than I am�c�c.^^;; But I can't help it. I am too busy focusing on JPOP and my favorite local artists, no extra time to spend on the new ppl ne�c..
Switch topic.....just listened to Yamapi's new song on 2/4 SC and NewS's new song for Happy Feet......Am I the only one here actually think that Yamapi's song is better than Happy Feet theme song?? Actually both song not too interested in�c.gotta listen to several more times before I start liking them�c�cand then I found that the melody of Yamapi's new song sound more appealing to me�c..but of course, it's no way to compare w/ Love Song. I wish the quality of his new songs can return to that level ne........
