-buy it from shops when they do release some of the latest drama. hoping the negotiations will come through for shops to sell Japanee dramas.

-watch it from Television

-rewatch the old Japanese dramas that I hae bought previously. Recently, I have stock take on the dramas that I have and I found that I bought more than 50 of Japanese dramas that is taking up a lot of space in my room. Thinking to sell them away. Just do not have the time to load them up on the net.

Normally I buy from stores.....since I like to collect them and have a tendency to re-watch my faves from time to time. Now that Singapore don't really sell j-dramas anymore, I go KL and buy..
Or I just watch on tv.....but I don't download..cos my computer is slow Shake Head

Thank you for that info dochira. You and bmwracer are always so helpful to me. As you can see I am not always on top of things on this board. So thank you very much! I don't get any channels here that show these "trendy' dramas. Are you renting the trendy dramas in Japanese with NO English subtitles?

I am going to revive this thread to continue this discussion.

I used to rent the videos from the Japanese rental store. But not so much nowadays. I mainly obtain my dramas via Bittorrent, also with the trades here and there.

So the question still is....Do these dramas that you are getting from Bittorrent or through trades, come with English subtitles or not?

A little of both. On Bittorrent, dramas are sometimes posted within hours of its original broadcast, therefore RAW, or unsubbed. Occasionally people will translate the episodes and provide subtitles. The ones via trades are usually English subbed, unless someone really wants to have a drama because of a particular actor/actress. Although you will find subbed dramas on Bittorrent.

I used to get most of my dramas on ebay or traded for them. Now I mostly just trade. And then of course when I need a new fancy boxset there is always YesAsia on ebay. The prices are better. w00t!
