It was my first time! It was a blast. Except for this one Chinese man who got mad at me for saying "Happy New Year" when I'm not Chinese...

Well he better not ever come to visit NYC for the Chinese New Year then because one group's holiday is everybody's holiday here. Any excuse to eat and celebrate! On St. Patrick's almost everyone wears green. That man needs a Kiss Me I'm Chinese button to wear.

Yea, I was lil' confused because there were a lot of people at the festival who were not Chinese. O well.
We have St. Patrick's Day here as well. Green is SO my colour.
There's another thing that happens in Toronto as part of the Chinese culture. I dunno what it is. I think it's the festival of lights? Or lanterns? Or was it flowers? Something like that, but it runs for the entire month or so. I'm gonna find out and see if I can attend. I love learning about different cultures! _________________

So it's not an official day, eh? We have a Flad day here, and although it's not official, the government is working on it. So prolly in two more years or so it will be! _________________

It is official in the sense that there is no mail delivery today. Government offices are probably closed. Banks I am not sure about. I think most companies use it as a "floating" holiday.

Cracks me up that the fangirls think it's so cute... Of course, they're so brainwashed, if these guys tortured small animals it would be cute.
