Not yet. I am still in dream land over Star No Koi. I will probably start Nodame sometime this week. Thank you again so much b-kun!
Are you guys having Wyn-chan withdrawal symptoms yet?
I am so glad that you caught the full humor and tenderness in Star No Koi.. It is in the top rank of doramas.... The dialogue, the intense chemistry between the stars, the superb photography and the story.

My sentiments exactly!
@ Enna - I'm another one who wishes they could forget to eat. It never happens, though.

Hey there keps good to see you too!
I found that when I switched from caffeinated beverages, especially coffee, that my craving for chocolate went way down. Now my snacks are mostly fruit.
Hope everyone has a wonderful week!
P.S. Hope everyone who needed to remembered Daylight Saving Time (spring forward one hour) this past weekend otherwise you are going to be late for work.
P.S. S. Say didn't anyone notice that I finally have a pic of a person, instead of flowers and mountains, as my avatar? Abe Hiroshi is soooo cute!

Hmm Enna, I wish I could kick my tea habit - but that's not an option for an addict like me.
I noticed your new avatar! Hiroshi is average-looking to moi, but I know plenty of people think differently. It's a good avatar, nontheless, cos Hiroshi is a fantastic actor.
I really must check out more of his dramas (only seen KDO so far).
I think in the UK the clocks go forward an hour later on in March. I think it might be the very end of March. I think we won't miss it here, as we get tons of reminders - from the news on tv, in the papers etc.

I switched to decaf tea and coffee until I can find an herbal tea I really like. I drink green tea sometimes.
I couldn't fimd a better pic of Abe Hiroshi for my new avatar. Glad you like my avatar. Thanks. Have you seen any pics of him when he was younger in his modeling days? Ooooh Baby! I have only seen hiim in Kekkon Dekinai Otoko so far. He has the most beautiful puppy dog eyes.
Yeah there were lots of announcements of DST here also, I was just trying to see who would fess up to being late for work.

Yeah I know what you mean monta. I eat most of my fruit snacks along with fat free light yogurt.

LOL.
I switched over to green tea from drinking sodas all the time during lunch and it's probably helped me lose some weight and helped with lowering my cholesterol level by not spiking my glycemic load...

I should really develop that habit, drinking green tea. I've been doing good at cutting back on my soda intake. I drink orange juice instead. _________________

Since I am trying to cut back on caffeine, I only drink green tea once in a while, but I do take green tea extract capsules that has 40% Catechins and 60% Polyphenols in it. I got them at a health food store. I will get that green tea in me one way or another.

Hmm, I didn't think green tea had that much caffeine...

I would like to continue the discussion currently going on in the "Love/Relationship" thread concerning the use of the word "Jap" and race relations between Japanese women and African-American men in the USA. Although this may or may not be the correct thread to discuss this in I might as well jump in and offer my thoughts.
I realize that everyone's experience of racism is unique, and I would never try to diminish what has happened to you in the past. I have several Japanese female friends who are married to African-American men. To stereotype a whole nation of women because of what you have experienced makes no sense to me. The reactions you got from the Japanese women you approached as a complete stranger, might have to do with your obviously open and above board friendly manner. You may want to try a softer approach. Introduce yourself first. Japanese are some of the most polite people I know. If a complete stranger on a bus asked me to partner with him as a language partner, I don't care what race he was, I would not have called him either. I hope we can continue to discuss this or any other topic in a respectful manner.
well my posts were deleted so i dont know exactly what i said, but im sure i didnt sterotype anyone. But when i said that Japanese were racist, im pretty sure thats correct. I can lay down a hundred reasons society, business, schools, and culture scream it, but theres no reason for that. thats cool if japanese women married blacks. but thats not my point. what im dissapointed about is that the colored experience of japanese culture, as well as those who are japanese american is really sad in japan in so many ways i dont understand why I'm still being flamed. No disrespect to any of my brothas and sistas all over the world, but this way of thinking towards colored people directly influences the way they feel about relationships with japanese.
Yea the japanese girls i meet on the bus are all working incredibly hard while trying to learn english, their main purpose. their parents dont send them additional money, or they came here alone. They work 2 jobs, go to school really far away from their homes, just to succeed. They have NO time for friends, or finding someone who speaks both japanese and english really well. So if you enna, passed up the opportunity to excel at the skill you came here to learn, and over the fact that im a male, then you better go back to japan, because you are wasting your time. Many of the japanese i talk to come here for about a year or two, and i usually end up riding the bus with them the whole time, one thign i notice, is that they have japanese tutors. and at the end of the year, their english still sucks horribly. So learning from japanese makes you suck at english because, you are learning from someone with a strong japanese accent, yopu got no american friends, and you are spending the majority of your day on a bus. If you wouldnt accept me(A GIFT FROM THE ENGLISH LEARNING GODS) as your language partner, then you are doomed, and so is the 30Gs your parents spent to get your shy and sterotype filled self to america, the land where there are japanese-chinese-mexican-black-brazilian-cambodian friendships almost everywher you look. this is a country where people talk on the bus, and they dont let opportunities pass them up! I mean lets face it, we are more open than japanese will ever be, and that is a good thig for them! TO LEARN A LANGUAGE, ONE MUST COMPLETELY IMMERSE THEMSELVES IN THE CULTURE AMIRITE? so since they all sucked at doing it, they lose. If i was in japan, which i will be in a few months, I will talk to every person(emo or too damn cute, scary white or ganguro black, kodomo or oyaji) i can find, and i will excel. People like the women you mention, enna, that wouldnt talk to me or call if they noticed im learning japanese, will fail at english, its as simple as that. they will come to america, go to school with japanese tutors, go to the local japanese supermarkeyt when they have free-time, and meet young japanese, sure start dating, and maybe even get a job at an asian restaurant, and then at the end of the day come home, repeat process for another 52 weeks, go home and end up just as bad in english as they were before they even started taking the studies seriously, which was basically never.
seriously, homie. to ruin your chances of success over somethign as petty as gender/race fear/discrimination is ridiculous.
