GTA TOKYO JAPAN hehehe
Has anyone ever played Yakuza? It's not like GTA but it's realyl fun and makes you feel like you're in another world. Like, the sounds and the places and everything feel so much like you're doing some jobs in asia. Plus, the fighting system plus storyline are really good. You guys should try it

I played Yakuza last year, I thought it was ok. But nothing great like Shenmue was. In fact, I don't remember much of the game, that says enough...
I'll have to disagree.. I didn't like shenmue. I've only seen 2 being played by my bro but the storyline was not great, the action was repetitve (barely any) and the areas were bland/boring.
Yakuza seems to be the opposite. Lots of fun side things to do, lots of people to beat up and the setting is cool. I think the idea of Yakuza is a bit similar to Shenmue but they're totally different.
Since games are still expensive in the US, I gotta find time to buy Yakuza. I'm pretty much broke right now.

well you don't seem to have played any of the 2 games, go play them first and we'll talk again
just because it has a 'yakuza' theme, doesn't make it a great game. I'd rate it a 7/10 max.
Well, watching it is sorta enough cause i sat there and watched my bro play it through and he was really bothered by the game cause the storyline dialogue was very repetitive and there are odd storyline missions like stacking books back and fourth He also could stand that he was walking all over the town asking where "bar man mo" was and each person kept referring to another person and it was really pointless. My bro doesn't even want to try Shenmue 1 anymore (cause we heard it was cool).
Anyways, im not trying to dog on Shenmue or anything but it REALLLYY looked bad.
The yakuza theme isn't what attracted me. I liked the gameplay and being in the Japan setting. It was really fun and felt like a real new place I've never been to before. The extra side games are fun like UFO catcher and gambling + doing jobs for the citizens

Hey you don't need to apologize if you don't like Shenmue
but if you sat down and played from the start, you'd agree it's something special. Don't forget the first game is 6-7 years old now. Also the English dub is really rubbish, I played through both Shenmue games in japanese, which was a blast. The onscreen 'press button' event has been stolen from Shenmue by other games (by Gods of War for example)
Another great feature of Shenmue 2 were the settings. Some streets and temples are in fact actual reallife locations.
like playing little games, collecting stuff, the shops or gambling? Shenmue had it all, years before Yakuza came out.

Ok, I was so wrong about Ghost Recon: Advanced Warfighter 2: it's the best shooter in years. IMO it's even a better game than Gears of War, more fun than Rainbow 6: Vegas.
the offline singleplayer campaign is a bit short, but really really intense I can tell you. I'm sure that certain reviewers didn't play the game on Elevated Risk. After completing the campaign on Normal mode (guarded risk) I thought the game was rather easy, but then I started over in Hard mode (elevated risk) and damn, the game really shines that way. I haven't had that experience before in a game, not in Gears of war, not even in my beloved Lost Planet. It's so freekin intense, it's like you're in a real warzone!
The Co-Op - Campaign mode is terrific, you need to carry out missions with a team. Gathering intel, destroying shipments etc. the AI is so smart in this game. You're forced to learn to play as a team, people who go Rambo will die in seconds you can't complete the missions alone either.
and then there's multiplayer, team vs team, solo, capture the flag like games. I haven't even tried all of those yet

About God of War is pretty much the same for me(if you consider god of war 1 is good then the sequel is also good).. I'm tend to get bored so fast when playing game like this..
Today iwant to buy Samurai Warriors Empires, my friend tell me that is been out for a while.. [/quote] _________________

Ryu Ga Gotoku is a really great game actually i finished it up late last year around Christmas time, the game just had very bad voice acting, i wish u had a choice to change to Japanese Language to give more authinic feel to it, but they didnt which was huge disappoint to me, but hopefully Ryu Ga Gotoku II will have Japanese Language, cuz they dont need no english voice actor, just put Subtitle, but Ryu Ga Gotoku II will take place in Osaka, Japan which is cool, because Kazuma i heard will be dealing with Korean Gangs, which is cool, because the Korean language will be in the game for the Korean Characters, as well as Chinese, cannot wait for this game! _________________
