I hope to write honest reviews and give my honest opinions whether I am a fan of the actor/actress or not.

You really sound like a down-to-earth person, if I can say. I totally hate that when reviews, all 10/10 obviously, have comments like: "OMG, so cute", "insert actor/actress is super hot" or "Downloaded, will watch later". My tip is I just don't read the 10/10 reviews anymore.
It'll be nice to have thoughtful comments to balance the crap that have been popping up lately.

I'm not sure if I'm down-to-earth...maybe just a blunt person at times.
And I agree about not reading the 10/10 reviews. I got smart and read the low rated comments and if the reviewer says things like "bad because the actors were ugly" or "I didn't understand this drama so I rate it low" or dumb things like that, I take a second glance. Usually if a person "can't understand" a drama, it's one of the thought provoking dramas that I enjoy instead of those "pretty people" dramas that have a forgettable plot and just showcase actors/actresses acting cute.

Agreed. Those are usually the best ones too.
Although, sometimes I like watching the flavor of the month actor/actress in predictable stories that looks more like an infomercial than a drama, but I usually forget them 3 days later. Unless it was really, really bad. _________________

hello everyone! i'm also a newbie to the forum... i've always seen this site around but never joined because i stupidly never realized it was a forum; i thought it was just a database for research. a great database at that, btw.
anyhow, you can call me ishikumi�\it's nice to meet you all! i'm pinay, but reside in Southern Cali. i'm a university graduate and have been a fan of jdoramas since last year. i tend to watch dramas with the actors that i've grown familiar with, and at the moment i am very into watching shows with Yamapi, MatsuJun, and Kame.
i hope to have lots of fun here because i always like discussing dramas, i just never found the right place. hopefully this is it! have a good day, everyone, and hope to see you guys around the forum!
