Um....I have to interupt here Sweat I haven't watched anything but the first disk so I can't comment on the plot, but if anyone wants to see Kimura Takuya's naked ass, this is the show for you! Mr Green Lovey Eyes

Now back to our regularly scheduled topic, LOL. hehe

Don't judge a jdrama by it's first episode. Usually a drama gets better and the storyline picks up after the first one. I found Beautiful Life and Love Generation to have really slow first episodes, but the more I watched the better it got.

'Sakura' was a looong and uninteresting drama that used to air on weekday mornings here in Cali. It annoyed me more than anything else. Shake Head

Really depends on your taste,

I personally liked SOS (but I can see why someone would say to avoid)
Shoumuni was very good imo, overly exagerated comedy. I guess you have to know hwat you are getting into.

Dramas that I didn't enjoy is love complex,

I agree with you. I liked S.O.S. my wife did not (although I saw her laugh and cry during the later episodes though) Shomuni we both loved. It's goofy and requires a certain type of humor.

Everyone has their own tastes. When you look at peoples favorites it's kind of fun to see how many favorites you have in common and how many you say what are they thinking. It's just diversity.

Wow, just wait until a group releases it in higher quality format. To get turned off just because of capture quality? Hmmm...

So far I've seen until episode 7 from NHK..(I think it was episode 7 last week..). It will start to pick up bits by bits. It does have stellar casts..yosuke eguchi will appear in episode 7 as Sakamoto. Well..my Japanese is very poor so I only grasp bit by bit...hehehe.. hehe But it does have good actors! Oh...in Episode 7 Kondo Izami will held a war play sort of..it was really funny.

However, if you compare it with Musashi, I don't think this one will serve your satisfaction (I've not seen Musashi..yet Sad ) especially when Ms. Yonekura is in it. hehehe Naughty )

You should check out Musashi. It's really good, Ryoko-chan notwithstanding... Smile

As I mentioned before to someone, Groink is working on putting Musashi onto disc, so it might be worth it... Of course, it's 49 (!) episodes, so you'll need to make some commitment to watching the series in it's entirety... Smile

I think it's a matter of taste..Whoot it has subs..now I'm envious.

Btw, drama not worth watching..hmm I might get smack by the ppl here who loves this drama but I hate "MOTOKARE". Don't watch it unless you're a die hard fan of a. Hirosue Ryoko (yuck I don't like her), b. Dohmoto Tsuyoshi, c. Uchiyama Rina.
The story itself is just not so original..if you want a better one like that go for "Mukashi no Otoko" or "Tokyo Love Story".

I don't agree that otousan was not worth watching. I think that's so funny and touching. It's worthable for the people who loves family dorama.
I think Kou Kou Kyoushi 2003 was not worth watching.

i have to agree to disagree ... outosan was not very interesting... i mean u could tell the outcome half way into the series... it was not that good IMO... but there are ppl here who loved it... so i think its a love/hate type of drama... u'll either love it or hate it Wink
