I wish you were my teacher when I was in school, Wyn-chan
I'd give you a detention for reading mags featuring Otsuka in class.
Actually, a lot of teachers do overseas trips. I mean, not a lot in my school, there are a lot in the states I believe. Most are just turned off because of the paperwork, stress, and responsibility. I think I'm too "fresh" right now to consider those... but i have to admit, taking kids to another COUNTRY is scary. What if something happens to them? >>shudder<< _________________

I was actually a good student
It would have been nice to go overseas as a student, but my parents could never have afforded it

Yea, that's a big problem. The China trip originally cost over $3100.00, but I haggled it down to just over $2500.00. But this expires in June, hence why it's important that the trip be approved asap. I need at least two months to collect all the students. >_< _________________

Just got done working with a customer, trying to configure his router. The default is "home" I told him to type that in the address bar, and when he did he said, "Nothings coming up" So, , , while I'm doing this he suddenly says, "Oh, wait a second, I misspelled "home"
Sensei, I promise to never criticize your spelling again

It has nothing to do with luck. I had similar field trips in school was well. We went to the local graveyard once to take crayon rubbings of tombstones.
This is why, as a teacher now, I'm doing trips to different COUNTRIES. It's a lot of work and really tiring, but I want MY highschool kids to graduate with a gool experience under their belts.
I see. That's a great idea. I know a few people who never been farther than the mall. _________________

I know most of Cincinnati has never left the area. And those that have likely haven't been out of the country.
I myself have never left the States, and until recently had really only been to Baltimore, Columbus Cincinnati and St. Louis (listed East to West). Now I've added Chicago, Pittsburgh, San Francisco, Orlando, Naples (Florida), Ft. Myers (Florida), Inverness (Florida), Cleveland, Washington D.C., Atlanta, Philadelphia, Indianapolis, Dayton, Greensboro (NC), Lexington, Annapolis and in a week and a half I add Las Vegas.
I can't wait to visit Tokyo, Sapporo, Nagoya, Osaka, Kyoto, London, Paris, Berlin, Frankfurt (my father's birthplace), Santiago (Chile), Toronto, Mexico City, Madrid, Seoul, Beijing, Ireland, Egypt, Israel and more. Not sure when I'll get to all of that, but cross my fingers it's soon enough.
I wonder if A.D. had to make his presentation, or if he made it out alive!
True say... he hasn't been on all day...
So I'm doing the workshop. I turned the lady down and the next thing I know the Principal is talking to me about how he's behind me 100% and how I should just "go for it". _________________

Well, i'm back. What a pain in the ass.... I knew it would be. Nothing the boss ever organises goes well
I got about 3 hours sleep last night, thanks to a very restless Mrs A.D. Then got up at 5AM, left at 6AM and drove for 2 hours. Set up the unit I was demonstrating.... and stood around for 4 hours, waiting for the water to be turned off (I was demonstrating a cutter for large diameter water pipe) After 4 hours, I got jack of it and packed up and drove 40 mins back to the office.
Nothing to eat or drink for 7 hours, no available toilet either

It's over now and it's all behind you. It's a new day. _________________
