Just finished "Sukeban Deka - Codename Asamiya Saki Movie". You really do need to be a die hard Matsuura Aya fan to appreciate this movie. Basically, the plot sucks, the script cheesy, and the acting - wait, what acting. Good thing it's comparatively short. BTW Matsuura wasn't showing as much skin as you would expect, so don't bother if you want a glimpse of her assets.

Not recommended. Sweat

byakuya means Midnight Sun, so they literally translated the title, but it's probably not the kind of words people learn first. Sweat

I really wish that they did keep the original title somewhere on the KIKU site. They used to when they had individual pages for each drama, but they've been getting lazier with that.

And I didn't realize that it meant "midnight sun." And looking at the kanji alone doesn't help since literally it means "white/pale night journey," so I had a bitch of a time trying to find it on the Jdorama database (was trying to find it via "mayonaka" and the like). It was only by chance that I saw a commercial for it that described it as a "dark" drama and I saw Ayase Haruka, then put 2 and 2 together. Bang Head (I think that's my favorite emoticon)

It kind of suck, especially since they don't dub it, they should key the original title somewhere. =T For my part, I wouldn't have ever found the title. Even with the English description, I wasn't sure if it meant the moon or summer in north pole. Sweat

Yea......I would either see her running around playing the Sax or chasing after "Chiaki-sama" and then seeing gay guy with the massive Fro following in the distance crying

Just finished IWGP...ah, it's all good, but I wouldn't expect less from the writer of Kisarazu Cats Eye and Tiger And Dragon.
Watching Karei-naru Ichizoku, Kirakira Kenshui and Shimokita Sundays.

Bambino 1st episode.
Ok but nothing to be "wow"ed about. Matsumoto Jun is in danger of getting typecasted in charismatic-phatetic characters which I don't like. (I want Momo back). I'm hoping they'll concentrate more on the cooking for the next episode.

Watched Proposal Daisakusen 1st ep. (RAW) via VEOH.
Quit good. Actually LOLed at one scene. Love the short funny man.

Rewatching Yasashii Jikan finale episode for the beautiful tears...

Will watch Unfair tonight.

I just finished watching the first episode of Nobuta wo Produce. It seems like a really promising story, so I'll probably watch the next episode right away.

Haha, very true. Some other people who post on the KIKU message board were in the same boat as I was--they heard Byakuyakou, but we all didn't pay attention to it because the English title threw us off. Sad That, and someone mentioned that it wasn't really advertised that KIKU would be showing it. Grumble
