Hey, anyone watch Naruto here? I just want to ask about his grammar. He usually ends with something like "Datte Byo" Sorry if i spelled it wrong. I hope u get wat i mean.
Like when he was fighting Haku with Sasuke. Sasuke told Naruto to run outside of the mirror. Naruto replied with wakari something something datte byo. Please help, thanks. What does that mean or do?

he usually ends with -debayo" and its just sorta the way he speaks. not really special meaning, i think, more like if you have a friend who always says like, or something like that.

I noticed that too, I just always assumed that was his way of using exclamation marks, cause I only hear him use it when he yells, which is most of the time. lol

Naruto usually ends his sentence with "~datte ba yo" or "tte ba yo!" It is NOT just something the author made up, using this type of form at the end of a sentence gives a bit of roughness and is normally translated into something that has "already been known/done/said." I guess, in English.

For example, "Wakatte ba yo!" Can mean along the lines of, "I said I understood you already!"

But Naruto, in this case, is just one of those people who oversays it. Sort of like many Americans say, "you know? / you know what I mean?" at the end of their sentences, despite the fact that they are not asking you a question, haha. It is just their speech pattern--and it makes them appear young, or cool occasionally. It might give Naruto a more kiddy appearance, and perhaps pesky-look. Just might thoughts on that, of course.

gai daigoji is hilarious, if only because kakashi makes their rivalry out to be nothing.
