I agree with Eve

I liked yankee Bokou

others that I liked that don't seem to popular are...

H2 <-- although it does have an adachi following huh?
Big Wing (the female leads bangs scream the early 90s but I still liked it)
Lunch Queen
Remote
Kisarazu Cat's Eye (the synopsis that i read prior to watching it made it sound like it was going to be sad -- I was so wrong I laughed soo much)

I totally agree with H2. It has a lot of depth, which is overlooked because it deals with highschool students.

Actually it's one of my favorites. More than just baseball, but about growing up. Made me name my japanese spitz - HIRO for Hiro Kunimi. Mr Green

I agree with you. H2 was a really great drama. Despite all the baseball stuff, which I didn't mind that much surprisingly.

Victory! Peace!

News no Onna is definitely something not to be missed out. Starring the legendary artist Suzuki Honami, I simply fell in love with the story line. Funny and unique at the same time. One of my all time favourite!

i think iryu, tiger & dragon, & brother beat, and even kekkon dekinai otoko (on this site at least) are all underrated, among others... all had fantastic storylines, i loved all of them!!

Although I haven't seen Iryu yet, I agree with you on all the others. Mind you, all of them are more "mature" than some of the stuff out there, which is prolly why they're underrated on this forum. But yea, they all rock!

oooo u should watch iryu! i usually cant watch medical type dramas cuz blood freaks me out ... but i just couldnt stop watching it.

i guess you're right... i think kekkon dekinai otoko & tiger and dragon are perhaps targeted towards a slightly more mature audience, but i thought brother beat was really cute, and reminds me of a lot of the 'younger' doramas that i enjoy too. but i suppose it may be because of the absence of JE boys... Beaten and any big female leads, maybe? altho i really like the girl who plays chisato-- i saw her in kekkon dekinai otoko first and i think shes sooo cute! and even riku's girl, i didnt like her so much in sapuri but she was great in BB!

Brother Beat is definitely an underrated drama! Absence of boys? It stars Tamayama Tetsuji. If he's not hot, than I don't get most girls and their tastes.

Victory! Peace!

I most definitely agree with that!!! I am actually watching it at the moment, I only found it because I stumbled across it on Mokomichi Hayami's bio... it's an emotional rollercoaster a fantastic drama! It deserved better viewer ratings that it got... I love my JE guys *points at icon* but I guess that's one reason this didn't get as much love as most.... there's no JE guys ne? Puppy Dog Eyes

Hi, Rose.

Your question is better suited for this forum: http://www.jdorama.com/viewforum.5.htm. You'll find your answers there. Smile

Also, please refrain from using the word "jap", as there are many people on this forum who find it offensive.

Thanks, and happy hunting!

Underrated ones? Some recent ones I really liked but were not really ranked high on this site are: Tiger & Dragon, Jyoou no Kyoushitsu, Iryu and the Trick series. Although if they really were highly ranked..... people might not like it so much.....that's the problem when too many ppl think a drama is good. Gets the hope up and you expect much more from it.

I think you'll find that "highly ranked" (at jdorama.com) and "highly recommended" in general, are not always the same thing. The jdorama.com ranking system for dramas and artistes ahould be seen more as a "fangirl rating of fruityboys and their dramas" type thing.

I would rather ask the people here that I trust Smile
