"Anata no namae wa desu ka?" and "desu" is basically the verb "is" or "to be"

You forgot something very essential in this sentence.

It should be... "Anata no namae wa nan desu ka?"

This question I'm gonna ask is a little random, but does anyone know what McDonald's signature "i'm lovin' it" is in Japanese? Like what do they use in McDonald's stores in Japan? hehe I just started wondering. Here in the Philippines, it's "love ko 'to." But I wanted to know what the Japanese version is. So if anyone does know, please tell me. Victory! Peace!

Good morning - Ohaiyou gozaimasu
Are you ok - daijoubu desuka?
We can just answer - hai, daijoubu desu!

but if you want to ask how are you - Ogenki desuka?
Answer - Genki desu

I'm also in the process of learning, so, forgive me if there any mistakes. Hope others can give opinion...onegai! Mr Green

hahaha is ok.

You spelled the state Ohio instead, but its all goodd Beaten Beaten

When asking if someone if you're pretty close to, say like a friend if he/she is ok, i think its also fine to just say "daijyobu" according to how things are...

ex. your friend trips over something...saying "daijyobu" without the "desu ka" shouldn't be all that big a deal.

If you're saying congrats to friends, you can simply say omedetou, but if you're saying it to people you really aren't close to, say omedetou gozaimasu. More polite and formal Smile
