Actress Erika Sawajiri is promoting another Sony Ericsson phone. The W52S "Walkman," which goes on sale later this month, has 2GB of internal memory and is stated to be capable of 110 hours of music playback.
Sawajiri will be seen performing kung-fu moves in the phone's commercial. The ad begins airing on the 30th.

don't get me wrong, i'm her fan too, but that song sucks.. it's like they know her singing voice not great and thus try to hide it with all these effect till i can't even recognise her voice.. _________________

Thats interesting... I've seen a live Erika special where she sang and it was perfect (spot on timing, intonation, pitch, tone etc.) However, fantasy is a very effect heavy song as you mentioned. Maybe it is to hide something, then again it could just be the song itself (is a retro 70's beat song something you would hear at the skating rinks back in the days). However, I wouldn't say the song sucks, is just in a totally different genre when compared to her other album. Lets just hope the other songs in the album/single show her voice a bit more, and I'm also hoping there some acoustic stuff like taiyou no uta.
Note: I still have to admit, the song sounds like it came out of a DDR game but is a super happy type song. _________________

as a real fan .. u should just support it instead of straight and forward saying it sucks ... maybe u can just give thoughts like not her style ... no 1 is perfect on this earth man ... ~ i do like the song some part though not all ~

the only live special she perform in was CDTV, well.. that's not a live actually.. it was aired on the 9th September 2006 but it was actually recorded on the 4th September, you guys should watch her only live performance singing with 4 other girls.. well the two infront did quite well but the 3 at the back (including erika) was like.. speechless.. . But anyway, she did well on taiyou no uta for sure, if not i won't have a copy of that single in my CD collection, but having said that i still think the reason why taiyou no uta single did that well was due to the push by the drama itself, so this upcoming single "free" is vital for her, it's actually a test for her.. but knowing japanese market i guess her fans power alone will be enough to make the single a success..
i do agreed with you that i hope to hear more acoustic stuff from her, as i like the acoustic version of taiyou no uta more the the 1st track, but not stay with me acoustic version though.. as i think her vocal was quite weak on that track.. for now, i still think she is a bit overrated as a singer but it doesn't matter, we all know that anyone can learn to be a singer, the only thing you need is a teacher and a lot of practices.. but not everyone has the quality to be a superstar, and erika certainly has that in her, so i still believe in time she will become a really good singer, but definitely not by releasing songs that are heavily special effected.. _________________

Err.. I'm sorry to break it to ya but she is not lip syncing. (I'm not saying this cause I'm a fan, cause frankly I'm not a huge fan of hers)
Anyone with a basic music background (be it you play an instrument, sing, or just have a passion for music) can easily see she is not lip syncing.
For those who are not able to spot any of these errors please go back to the video and fast forward to: 1:31 TO 1:38 yes thats a mistake my friend(off pitch and note) (plus there many other subtle errors but aren't as apparent and require a bit of a fine ear to spot)
Note: This video itself has some video/audio sync issues but thats besides the point for now as we talking about her singing hehe.
Overall, if she has lip sync before on another show maybe is a possibility (as I havent seen it) but as for this special, only a def tone person who has hearing problems would say she is lip syncing after what I just pointed out above. _________________
